Excellent multi-use tool for Dutch oven cooking. As a lid lifter, it lifts straight up and prevents ash and coals from falling into the pot when you check on the food. As a cooking stand, we put it directly into the fire and it wasn't damaged other than some of the coating chipping off. As a lid stand, keeps the lid clean by elevating it off the ground so you can stir the pot. As a bail lifter, has a good shape to give you enough grip for even a heavy pot. Excellent tool! So useful. Highly recommend.

Lodge makes a great product. I used this for my Lodge Dutch oven while camping and it was really helpful. The 4 in 1 elivated the Dutch oven enough to get some hot coals underneath and sped up the cooking process. Don't expect this to replace a larger iron grate. It's shifts easily and doesn't lock into place but as long as you don't mess with it to much, the weight of your pot/pan keeps it firmly in one place. Look forward to using it with a camp fire for many years to come.

Should work fine for the intended purposes. I would liked to have seen a more robust rivet holding it together.

Good product and delivered super fast.

This little guy doesn't look like much but it's really useful! I originally bought it as a DO stand and it works great for that. What I didn't realize is that you can also use it as a lid lifter. On our camp out we used this as a lid stand while checking the food inside the DO, as a DO stand when we moved the DO full of food onto the picnic table, and as a lid lifter. Everyone at the camp out loved it and several people commented on how useful it was. It also folds, is compact, and lightweight which is perfect for camping. I highly recommend!

I still have this item and I use it for a lid opener still too short to open a cast iron when it extremely hot.You will have to be right on the money for use of cast iron riser when rotating the Dutch oven during the cooking process.
