Good quality without the big sticker price!
Better than I expected. Eventhough this was not the SharkBite brand, It worked just fine but with a much lower price. Build quality seems very heavy duty, so I expect it to last. The 1" copper pipe fits snuggly, and the Oring is what keeping the water from leaking. I wanted to make sure the fitting stays put, so I tried pulling the fitting out after insertion, and could not do it. I had to use the extraction tool to remove it just like I would with the SharkBite brand fitting. Bottom line is that there is not much technology involved here folks. Check to make sure Oring is smooth and lubricated before installation. I persoanlly added more silicon grease to be certain I had enough lubricant and am happy with the performance so far.

This actually works!

Expensive but easy.
Much safer than soldering next to the wall.

Great for emergency pipe breaks
Had on hand for possible pipe break after recent freeze. Very useful to cap-off burst pipe.
