Although every pitch isn't perfectly straight, that's the reality when playing so I feel it gives my kids practice watching the balls and the pitches aren't off by much. It holds 5 balls and gives enough time to prep for each pitch. I love that it can also help with fielding as it has different settings. It's best to use when it's not windy as the wind carries the light wiffle type balls off course. Overall it's great for kids who are learning to bat and field. My son (6) and daughter (8) both like it

For the price, can't beat it. The product itself works as described, but best just for batting practice since it doesn't throw hard enough for grounders or pop ups. Takes either 2 or 4 size C batteries that got me approximately 4 hours of play out of it. I would recommend this, however, I recommend it for small children learning the absolute basics. The balls are designed not to go far once hit, which is good, yet they're extremely durable. I have a 6 year old son that got hit in the face from a bad pitch and he was not hurt whatsoever. Very safe. I have 4 star instead of 5 for two reasons: 1. A bit inaccurate when pitching, but also take into consideration that any wind at all will affect a wiffle ball. 2. They should have integrated a 120v plug as a secondary power Option rather than battery power only.

Inaccurate ball release . Okay for practicing catch, but not good for batting

This pitching machine was easy to assemble and worked well. I can’t pitch to save my soul but this machine was able to give my 8yo grandson a chance at batting practice and catching. You can adjust it to throw high in the air to catch fly balls. The two and three-year-old had a great time retrieving balls and putting them into the machine.

product throws the balls at completely different speeds, which makes it really hard for a 3-4 years old to stand in one place and expect anything close to a strike. Considering you need to get the kid ready and focus, not getting the ball at the right place, or nearby is a waste of time. And when he gets maybe 2 or 3, you ran out of balls, as there are only six, so you need to reload and start all over. Do not recommend

Love this pitching machine . Bought it for my son and he loves it . Very light weight and durable like the speed that it has . Easy to assemble .

First, it seemed to be just thrown into a box with no packaging or instructions. It looked like it had been used before and was all scratched up. I've noticed by reading other reviews of "Franklin Sports" products, that other people have mentioned that the items appear to be used when received. Besides that I was a little disappointed. It is definitely not consistent in throwing so you are constantly moving to where you need to be to hit the ball after the ball is thrown which kinda defeats the purpose. For a younger kid, they can't figure out where to move each time so basically they are missing the ball each time and not learning to hit properly. It throws shorter or longer than the time before and sometimes to the side etc. The balls are cheap and flimsy. The throwing mechanism is a bit shoddy as well and takes forever. As far as a fielding device it is probably better as you can move to where you need to be to get the ball. Overall, for the price I would not recommend this product.

grandson loves it

I purchased this 3 in 1 Batter Machine in March for my Grandson who is 6 years old. As a friend of mine had one last year and my grandson used it. I haven't used ours yet as we are waiting for the whether to become nicer, but I have seen the way it works and for what I have seen it perfect for him. It's slow enough but not to slow with good batteries, the range is good for him to practice with weather its fielding, fly ball or batting it really helps to get him ready for the Baseball Season. I think its in the Top 5 on my list.

Didn’t shoot ball accurately. Hollow plastic balls only can be used and they don’t fly in the air correctly.. any wind sends them off path and even without wind the ball does not come straight out in line to hit. We tried all the settings (pop fly, ground ball, regular pitch) the machine is back in the box and doesn’t get used. Which is to bad because our son loves baseball and looked forward to having more practice

Works good - was hoping we could use tennis balls interchangeably with it. We can't but not the products fault. Kids love it - but only works with plastic wiffle balls
