Cheap and easy achiote paste
Living in the UK it can be difficult to get anything close to the ingredients for Mexican food, so this is a really nice substitute for fresh achiote peppers. I use about a teaspoon to substitute for 2 peppers and while it's not a perfect substitute, it's the closest I've found.

Good standby and decent flavour.
A good substitute if you can't be bothered making your own achiote, from a reliable brand. Best kept refrigerated once opened and used promptly, as it loses its punch over time. This paste is authentically pungent, but mild on the chilli heat.

Good value for money brings back memories of home taste amazing I made stew beef with hot Caribbean Jonny cakes 😋 if you're into taste of central America and Mexico this will get your taste buds going.I will definitely send for more thank again you don't disappoint

Great flavour, be warned, it stains.
Paste has a very aromatic garlic smell, taste is something like garlic/paprika/red peppers its not really like anything else ive tasted, it was extremely good as a marinade for pork, when making cochinita pibil. Would recommend. One note, this stains like a mother......dont use it in plastics that easily stain unless you want them forever tinted orange. Be careful of your clothes!

Love this!
This is literally the BEST ingredient if you want delicious pulled pork. Mix this block in a blender with orange juice, pepper, salt, oregano, mixed spice, and cumin. Then spread the marinade all over a 2-3kg joint of pork shoulder, leave overnight then cook in the oven on 160 for 3-4 hours. The result is delicious pull apart pork with a 'next level' flavour!!
