SHANGRI-LA Canvas Tote Handbag Casual Purse Shoulder Bag for Women Convertible Backpack

I am a mom transitioning from diaper bag to a purse that can still handle snacks and sippy cups. This bag seems perfect for quickly transitioning to whatever I need while still having enough space for everything I need. I have had this bag for almost a month and so glad I bought it. In my mind the pros outweigh the cons, but I have them here for others to consider.Pros: the bag continues to stay upright when becoming a backpack.The transition between shoulder bag to backpack is easy.There's a divider pocket that make it easier to seperate sippy cups from your wallet and items you don't wish to get accidently wet like masks or tissue.The canvas material is study, but not scratchyIt looks really cute and I've gotten a lot of complimentsCons: the zippers catch on the material and do not zip as smoothly as I would like. I put my car keys in the front zipper and my phone in the back zipper pocket so I use them a lot.The strap that flips over the top is magnetic only to the other side and is more of a hindrance.When transitioning from backpack to shoulder mode, the straps get tangled easily. This is something that really bothers me, but I don't see an easy solution given the design of the bag. I did take off a star on versatility because of this reason.When in purse form the opening isn't as big as other bags and I've seen other reviews state this, but it is not something that upsets me much.There's 2 zipper pouches on one side of the bag and the second zipper pouch is not flat against the bag, especially if something is in it. There are many times when I've dug around without looking to realize I was in a wrong area of the purse. Minor inconvenience because I'd rather have the 2 inner zipper pouches than not, but someone might not like that.

I thought this bag would be flimsy because of the low price, but it feels solid and well made. I was able to put all of my regular purse things in it and had plenty of room for my tablet. There is a special pouch for tablets, with a little padding. My Surface Pro fits even when it is in its case.I love the look of this purse, I bought the olive green. I like that you just slide the handles over to make it a backpack, you don't have to reconfigure things. When it's in backpack "mode" the top is drawn together, so someone shouldn't be able to reach in and take something out.It's a tiny bit heavy as a purse, but really lightweight for a backpack (if that makes sense). Since I just received the bag, I haven't traveled with it yet. I'm very happy with my purchase and I will update if things change.UPDATE: I've had this bag for two years now and it's my absolute FAVORITE! It is still sturdy and in great shape. I've used it for my "personal item" while traveling because it holds so much stuff. I've used the backpack mode a few times too. A friend loved it so much, she commented every time she saw it. I finally got the *hint* and bought her one (different color) for her birthday. I can't wait to give it to her.

This bag is working out better than I thought it would. I love that it is convertible from shoulder tote to back pack. Quite roomy. With my 10" laptop and 8" tablet in it it's kind of heavy, but manageable. This one has a zipper top (Great). The strap on the front that snaps over the zipper top is really not necessary when zipped. The construction is good. I have not found any messed up parts. There is an extra zipper pocket on the inside that seems to be in a weird spot to me. Overall, I am loving it (for now). The value is good for the price. By the way, I tried the one that has a snap top and the straps are angled a bit, I did not like that style.

I’m loving the style, it fits with anything. Im usually more casual, grunge or outdoorsy though. Im a mom of three but my teen daughter makes sure I’m still stylish. The straps can get annoying but not enough to not want to use it. It fits A LOT and doesn’t look over stuffed. One of the zippers on the outside randomly separated.. wasn’t even used so not sure what happened. I keep the zipper in the middle just in case it happens again but it ended up closing itself again and it’s fine
