Excellent in most ways
This is great. I have thick skin with thin capillaries and setting 8 is fine. Good to know I have one more if I need it. Works with Walmart's Rely On which like $2 for 100. Some folks say the eject doesn't work with the lancet needle. It does but it doesn't shoot out, you have to turn it downward and the needle slides out enough to be safe. All around quick, clean, safe, and easy to use.

A diabetic's dream come true - no more lancing pain
Would you like a pain free lancing experience? Well, I can tell you from experience that the Autolet Device is the answer for me. I've been using a lancing device I got years ago. I have tried others but they all caused some degree of pain. Not surprising, I read with skepticism the Autolet Device description. It's no gimmick or joke. This truly is my first pain free lancing experience. The device was easy to understand how to use. I loved the two settings; one for depth and one for penetration force. I have been lancing and testing for years. Lately, I needed to test 6 times a day. That really hurt with my old lancing devices. I took the device from the package, figured how to use it in a few minutes, then did my fasting test for the day. I couldn't believe it. No pain. Ok, I thought maybe it was the new needles that came with the Autolet Device so I tried my own lancing needles. Wow, still no pain. I should mention that I got an excellent drop of blood with the lowest setting for depth and penetration force. I was also happy to discover that this device accepts any universal lancing needle. It does not require a specific lancing needle. As a long time diabetic, I highly recommend this lancing device.

Give this one a hard pass! Not a quality device, cheap materials and non functioning designs.
The lancing device is the worst design I have ever used. I have been testing long before the inclusion of lancet ejection levers were added to lancing devices and this is the absolute worst ejection design I have ever encountered. The device spring release button is small and mine was difficult to press. Several times I had to remove the lancet and pull the lancet cradle to release the spring tension. The ejection lever had to be pushed forward multiple times before the used lancet would release from the cradle. The device is completely useless to me and now I am required to replace it and spend more money. Give this on a hard pass!

Gentle and Efficient
I'm so glad I purchased this lancing device. The one I had was very painful even in number 1. This one on 4 barely pierces and lets enough blood for a reading. I'm very happy with this item

Less Pain!
Out of the five different lancing devices I have used (2 came with my meters), the Autolet has caused me the least amount of pain. Best thing is that I can get a sufficient amount of blood on setting 1 to get a reading on my Contour Next One meter without having to restick myself vs having to use higher (more painful) settings with the others. I'm glad i came across the Autolet when i was searching for another lancing device that causes the least amount of pain. A really good deal and highly recommend!

It is unusual for me to write a review, but this little gadget will benefit everyone who finds it difficult to obtain an adequate blood sample when lancing. Despite access to numerous lancing devices I have personally lost count of the number of glucose and ketone strips I have wasted through insufficient blood volume and was specifically seeking a different animal altogether. Trust me, this beast is in a different league from the typical offerings and on the highest setting (21 in all) is capable of rivalling Vesuvias. However, I accept no responsibility for those intrepid folk like myself who experiment on the highest setting and require a blood transfusion afterwards.

Does the job for me. I often previously had trouble getting enough blood for my meter and the 21 different settings make a huge difference. I have it set on the 20th one and no more problems! By setting '20' I mean no 6 on the pen and the highest of the 3 depth settings

Nice strong lancing device only thing I found that was disappointing was that you have to manually remove the used sharp lancet itself by pulling it free from the device. This has to be done very carefully so that you don't end up lancing yourself a second or third whilst trying to remove it. I have used two other makes of lancet in the past that have had an basic eject system built in. If this had a system like that then it would be a five star item, obviously not designed by someone who actually has to use one several times a day as I have to. Shame.

This is one of best most robust devices o have used as a 20 year type 2 diabetic. Also good thst it can be fitted with any needles.

The pen lancet takes all types of lancets according to the email I received back from the company, it works with my stock of lancets for a completely different pen.
