Does this product control - kill carpenter ants? Ok to sprinkle on the ground or broders where ants have been seen foraging?

Yes it does. Best ant killer I Have ever used .. Don't have to sprinkle a lot but cover the area .

How long after use can you be in the area?

I have no problem being in the area right after. I would not let kids and pets near it. I would also not step on the mound.

Could I use it indoor？is it harmful to people？

Outdoor use only. The active ingredient is Cyfluthrin which is toxic to humans. For indoors, I use Terro ant traps.

Does this fire ant killer have a smell when you apply it?
