ABT PRO Color Set 12/Pkg-Basic

I feel very disappointed after I opened my parcel cos the box is old and dirty. Just hope the markers are OK.

I've used other medium, but wanted to try (inexpensively) alcohol markers. They were smooth, didn't show layers while coloring like most markers do, and as the price/qty were acceptable to me, I played with them. BUT, user error, of course the key color RED I'd used, dried out, and no matter what YouTube methods to get it re-moistened the many I tried, it unfortunately did not work. Since other brands were re-activated, I figure it was something to do with the brand's make up, hence 4 out of 5. I thought as I used each pen to color an area, I'd made sure the lids were on tight. Not so! I think if you're new to these markers, or aren't paying attention, you may assume you've tightened the lid adequately, and dry them out as I had. It is a shame I can't buy single colors, i.e. the Red I dried out, but as the set is inexpensive, I guess I could try to buy another brand of Red elsewhere. It WAS upsetting I couldn't reactivate it. The yellow seemed a bit fainter than I would have preferred, but all other colors were rich and as expected. Just remember...using a color, double-triple check that the lid is replaced tightly. These markets have the great colors and ease of use of water based Tombow pens - but in an alcohol base. Quick drying, bright colors and good blend ability at a reasonable price. I bought 2 sets.

The tips aren't what I would have expected. The caps that are on the side with the long tip, keep falling off and drying out the marker. The colors are okay but a different variety would have been nicer. The long tip is a lot softer than I expected, making it a little more difficult for filling in color. If you are looking for something with edges more defined, I wouldn't recommend these.

The red marker was completely dried out on opening. All others are fine
