This works as advertised, when my surface tablet is off but if I cut it on while charging the light starts blinking, im thinking the charging block is use to plug it in the wall is it shortcomings. But other then that it works fine.

Worked fine for 39 days till it did not. Light now stays on even when not pluged into SP-7. Will not charge at all. Have another cord and it works fine. Just past the 30 days so I cant return it. EDIT: COMPANY WENT FAR AND ABOVE FOR SERVICE ON THIS ITEM. THEY DID NOT ASK ME TO CHANGE THIS REVIED. NOW 100% HAPPY

Look, you have GOT to have a second charging cable for ANY REASON. this is it. Thin, easy to transport, fits the port perfectly (still pisses me off that Microsoft went with proprietary charging vs. USB-C), but I have my OEM at my desk, this unit travels the country with me.

These work as advertised. Both of my usb ports are broken on my surface and if not fot this cord (4th try at one that would constantly work) I would have been in trouble. One of the few that put out a significant amount of power that is in the original form factor.

Good cable. Seems like it will hold up. Be cautious of power supply used, as not all provide enough power to charge tablet. Not for use with common power supplies or power banks.

If you have an older model Surface, it works fine. If you need more than 45 watts to avoid the constant popup warning about "slow charging", such as with a Surface Pro 9, then you might not be satisfied. Even with 100 watt output charger, it would not allow the minimum 65 watts to pass through.

With the proper PD power source this is the perfect solution for charging my Surface Pro. The standard charger has the converter in the middle of the cord, which is often awkward, in the way and less versatile. Have the power converter next to the wall gives you much more flexibility to charge and continue working. It's also much more compact than the original charger. While in the office my Surface Pro is charged via USB C, but when traveling, working remotely or sitting in my recliner, this is far superior to the standard Microsoft charger supplied with my laptop.

Electrically, the cable works fine. The description for this cable states that you must have a USB-C PD power supply that can output 15V at 4A. My power supply doesn't support that much current, but it will do 3A at 15V. With that, my 15" Surface Laptop 5 will charge from my power supply despite the lower current. The laptop does complain that a slow charger is being used, which is expected, but the laptop still charges reasonably quickly. My one complaint about this cable is that the nylon braid is not attached well on the Surface connector side. Mine came loose after about one month. I have added some heat shrink tubing over the gap to add some strength and help keep the gap from getting worse.

I had tried other brands (@ 1/3 the cost) and non of them worked. They only worked fine with Surface Pro up to 7. This one works perfect and i gave it 5 stars eventhough it is way overpriced! I will buy more when the price comes down... I use it with a 65w extra slim charger, so it is easy to have it and the cable in the Surface Pro 9 soft case. So basically: IT WORKS GREAT with my SURFSCE PRO 9! Recommended.

Lo compre para cargar mi surface en el carro y funciona al 100% no he tenido problemas y tiene un buen largo. El cable no es muy grueso pero es del tipo tranzado por lo cual no se hace nudo. Me sirvio.
