Follow the directions and you'll have grass!!
This grass seed has been great. I know it is a Southern grass but I wanted to give it a shot anyway (we live in Indiana and the summers here have been crazy hot the last few years). I purchased it because of it's drought tolerance and resilience in high traffic areas as we have a section in our front yard that is very, very difficult to get coverage. I mixed it with another seed (shade and sun mix also from Pennington) and covered it with straw. We watered it thoroughly every day and within about two weeks, we saw it starting to come up. We'll see how well it does in the long-term since I planted it in a section of the country that's not recommended but so far, it's been a great seed!!

Didn't work for me, wasted time, effort, and money
I did everything I could to get this grass to live past 2 months with perfect watering and good sunlight. Didn't work, the grass couldn't handle it.

Large quantity
This is very small seed and there was more than I thought there would be in a pound.

Dont get duped by this one. Photos are misleading. Am I to blame?…ultimately yes thats why I didnt request to return the item but they asked for my review so, here it is Honesty…WHO SELLS A 1 POUND BAG OF GRASS SEED?? And for $60+ per bag?? Insane. Without any exaggeration the bag was the size of a ziplock sandwich bag. Not the freezer bags. The bags I pack my kids lunches with. The ones I have to squish 2 pieces of bread into and cant quite close. Like I said, its my own fault. Says clearly on the item title 1pound. But who knows what a pound of seed looks like? Ive bought lots of seed, love my lawn, take pride in it. I guess I typically by the 5kg bag at the hardware store, which is 11pounds (easy to mix up kg’s and lbs when shopping online) and I usually pay around $60 for the 5kg so I figured for premium seed it made sense. I shook my head, lauged at my own stupidity , loaded my handheld spreader (rather than the broadcast one I had anticipated) and savoured the 15 seconds of optimism before the hopper was emptied. I think i covered 50square feet. If its not the most spectacular 5x10 patch of grass on my street I may have to tell them how I really feel
