Can the light be set to show no light at all, at night, and only turn on when motion activated?

The little strip on the front of the light stays on but that very little light is kind of nice. It's not a disturbing light than the other light goes on when it's sense's motion. There is a switch on the back were you can keep it on as a night light, turns the motion sensor off. Be I love them it's just right amount of light. As soon as it gets dark enough in the area were you want to use it that little strip of light will turn on and remain on till it gets light enough. But like I said that little strip on the front is not bright at all. For the money you can't go wrong I have them 6 months no problem at all

Is this for a european outlet?

Not the one I purchased as I live in the US, unless it has an adapter. What I will say is that it is a nice light which fits exactly my needs. Very happy with the purchase.

Does it block the second plug on a wall outlet?

It all depends were you put it and what type of item you want to plug in. If it is A charging item no it won't work. I have mine in a bathroom it's in top outlet you can get a plug under it you can always get a 6 plug outlet the kind you take the face plate off and they have to plugs on back you just put them into the the 2 plug outlet put the center screw into center plate that comes with them. I have them all over the house you can find them for like 9-10 dollars. Worth every penny. Bach to nite light I love it's great light gives you plenty of light at night time when using the bathroom never need to put on blinding light in middle of night. It's a trip around my home I have them in a lot of places a hall kitchen bathroom at night time I need not to run around turning lights on and off all night. Even at 8:00 when its dark already You can do everything you really need to do with out turning on lights. Helps save money on electricity and who does not like that. Hopefully this was helpful.

Do these  interfere with both plugs on a 2 plug outlet.

If depends on your actual plugins. If you plug them in the top plugin upside down , you still have access to the bottom plugin. In my case our plugins on the wall have a loose fit. For me, the nightlight is for use in the dark, and they are perfect for being able to see getting from point A to point B.  During the day, when I need to use the plugin to vacuum, I remove it, and plug it back in when I’ve completed my task!
