Works nicely
Still working. Much quieter than old fan.

I'm glad I got this. (Vent & Cover)
**So far, I have had no moisture issues or foggy mirror. The start up time, people complain about, saves energy. It is extremely quiet. Get over it.If you want loud and inefficient, this isn't for you.Ps don't forget the cover! Great touch Panasonic.** After week one(Week two update: no steam, no regrets).

Quiet Fan
I am very happy with the purchase of this fan. It is very quiet. When you first turn it on, it does not even sound like it is on. You have to listen to it, which is nice.

Very easy to install - BUT BEWARE OF THE STRANGE STARTUP TIME!
It's actually quite easy to install as a replacement as long as you are comfortable with securing wires, cutting drywall and using a drill (to secure the mounting bracket to studs).ONE MAJOR THING YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF: After I had the entire thing connected and turned on the wall switch, nothing happened. The fan did not come on. So I turned it off. Pulled the whole thing down, checked my wiring connections, secured it back in place, tried the switch again and nothing happened! Still didn't turn on! It wasn't until I called my electrician family member who, after going over the obvious stuff with me, said "the newer fans don't come on right away. You have to wait like 5 seconds. Did you wait 5 seconds?" I had not! So I put it all back together again, turned on the wall switch and waited a while. Felt more like 10 seconds, but it did turn on! The fan started spinning slowly at first, but then ramped up to full speed. It wasn't until AFTER I spoke to him did I see a single line in the installation manual that mentions this is normal expected operation (See my picture). I had no idea! Just wish I had seen this instruction prior to me pulling it back down multiple times! So, hopefully the story of my mistake will keep you from having the same issue and banging your head against the wall!

A Beating - Of sorts
Well, I guess I too had trouble sorting out the finer points. I read all the reviews, watched all the videos on the different wiring methods and still could not get the fan to turn off. I used the manual wiring method running the blue “Signal” wires through the wall switch. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why there was no on/off like I planned for. I could remove the power to fan to get it to stop. Hook it back up with switch off. All good. Turn it on, that works. Turn it off and it stays on. Here’s the rub. I guess this was such an obvious feature I couldn’t find mention of it anywhere. With no modules installed, “Off” via signal wires means “20 minute delay”. I tried this several times to confirm. I hope this’ll help someone.

Quiet, effective, configurable
My old fan was rated at 70 cfm for a small bathroom but, when taking showers, the mirror would fog badly and often family members would forget to turn the fan on, which eventually led to moisture issues in an adjacent room and in the attic. The Panasonic fan set to 110 cfm prevents the mirror from fogging up at all, yet is so quiet I find myself having to check if it’s even on. I haven’t wired it to run continuously yet but have purchased the timer module and will add the separate condensation sensor when I do as well, so the fan will turn on to high automatically when any family takes a shower. Great upgrade!

Premium performance & worth the investment
Happy with purchase.Performs as advertised and very quiet compared to what you expect from a “builders grade” fan.Instructions are good. This is a two person job if you want to be effective. It is a retrofit solution but do yourself a favor, if you can access your attic to install, have one person there and one person in the bathroom. You will save yourself a lot of headaches. Measure 3x cut once.Have all the tools ready and check / decide if you need to change your flexible exhaust ducting. If it’s smaller diameter and you keep, you’ll need a reducer and clamps.Motion sensor works great. Took a little time getting used to how it works. Works as described in instructions. Not sure if I’d recommend in a lower level powder room.
