AeroGardenSalsa Garden Seed Pod Kit, 9-pod

I was nervous at first because two pods were not as tall as the rest, could see the seed at the bottom of the pod. They were just late bloomers. Would purchase again!

I bought these to go with my new hydroponics garden about 2 weeks ago with an herb garden and some salad greens.. I thought I'd start small and simple and then figure out the fancy stuff later. I'm a very casual gardener and this seemed simple enough to fit into my lifestyle.The tomatoes popped right up. Thats a 2 week shot of them right there. One is doing really well and the little one is on the struggle buss. The dud on the end.... is the peppers plant. There were two pods that I'd put into the system but when they didn't sprout at all I did do an autopsy on one. It was as I'd thought, no pepper seeds! The good news is that no harm no foul. Seeds are still 98 cents at the store and I'll grab a packet in the morning. I've already looked in the box to see if maybe they'd gotten knocked loose from the pod, but there weren't any. I'm sure for someone less adventurous this might be a serious drawback. I however am having a grand old time playing hydroponic farmer. :) I'll probably buy direct from the site next time seeing as amazon isn't any cheaper and its merchandise has become compromised and you actually have a wider selection of pod kits.

this is realllly growing a lot of tomatoes, I haven't seen any peppers yet. The tomatoes are taking a long time to go from green to red. Previously I had a set of mini cherry tomatoes that grew and ripened much more quickly. But I can't complain really as these plants are full and bushy, I prune them a lot, and they make a nice showing.

My tomatoes and jalapeno are growing well. I cant wait to make salsa soon!

So, I gave it 3 stars because it undeniably is an easy, simple way to feed your Aerogarden plants and not have to think too hard, while being able to grow healthy plants in your Aerogarden. I actually bought this set with the seeds because... Why not? It was about the same price or even cheaper than buying a tiny little 3 oz bottle of Aerogarden fertilizer. Come on people, do you REALLY need to be this greedy? Please make sizes like perhaps a 12 oz available that doesn't cost such a ridiculous amount of money. What an audacious and overt rip off. No shame at all evidently.

I bought this for my girlfriend as a Christmas present. We use a lot of herbs and spices and are always going to the grocery store for more.This little son of a gun grows so unbelievably fast. If you plan to replant, make sure you're getting into the bottom space and keeping the roots under control. If you have all the pod spaces filled, the roots start to get intertwined. Not a big problem, just something to look out for.HIGHLY recommend this product!

I have two of the older versions of the aero gardens. I also have a 3-pod aero garden were the pump works fine, but nothing germinated. I replaced the pumps with two outside air pumps in the older aero garden 7s-i ordered two pod kits-neither one germinated. I tried so long with these pumps that time had ran out to return them. At last, I replaced the pumps with two pumps that were placed inside of the aero gardens and ordered another pod kit. I ordered the 9 pod kit and placed 4 tomato pods in one, 2 peppers in the other and 3 in the smaller aero garden. This time the seeds germinated and are growing fine.
