Nerf's new best Springer.
Something I've noticed Hasbro's been doing with the Phantom Corps Rivals is fixing a lot of problems previous models had. The Helios gave the Apollo a better priming mech and a stock. The Hera gave the Zeus a more conventional magazine location and better ergonomics. And it's no different with the Hades.A big problem I had with the Artemis was how it featured slam-fire but didn't have a stock to stabilize your shots with. Slam-firing the Artemis accurately was nearly impossible because of this, and it was unfortunate too. The Artemis had a lot of other very strong points. 30 rounds without requiring a magazine or any extra gear, easy to reload quickly, accurate, powerful, etc. but the slam-fire mechanic was almost unusable. But now we have the Hades. Extending the rear end of the blaster solved one problem and boosted another aspect. The slam-fire mechanic is now only not just usable, but highly viable. You can accurately put a lot of rounds on a target, and extending the stock gave us room for double the ammo, which makes the slam-fire even more of a scary tool. Also, 60 rounds is the highest capacity possible on a NERF Springer, due to most requiring magazines. How does this blaster match up against others?-Dart guns get outgunned by Rivals in general, and the Hades is no different.-Compared to Springer Rivals (Apollo, Atlas, Artemis, Helios, Kronos), your odds of winning are high. With over double the capacity of most and the high rate of fire granted by Slam-fire, this blaster beats them out quite easily.-Semi-Auto Flywheel Rivals (Zeus, Hera). These blasters CAN shoot faster and harder than the Hades, but they have much less ammo, with 12 being max. The 60 rounds the Hades provides makes this a hard blaster to wait out, due to how long it takes to run dry.-Full Auto Rivals (Khaos, Nemesis, Prometheus). The Hades struggles compared to these blasters. With each new Full Auto Rival the game changes even more, with each Full Auto being more rediculosuly overpowered than the last. But Springers have the benefit of being quiet, so if stealth is your game, the Hades is a better option than these noisy flywheels. All in all, the Hades is a very, very good blaster. Shoots hard, high rate of fire, high capacity, and Rival accuracy.5/5, would highly recommend.

Hades
Bought this a loooooonnng time ago, but anyway, it's a great primary nerf blaster. Great ammo capacity of 60 rounds. May be a little unwieldy for some smaller players

The most underrated Nerf blaster of all time!
I have always been obsessed with this blaster ever since I learned it existed. I immediately put it on my Christmas list. Overall the blaster has several pros and cons.PROS:60 rounds is incredible for a pump actionThe rear handle is somewhat comfyThe blaster is not very hard to cockThe white and black paint looks good with the redThe rotating barrel is very cool and interestingLoading may be hard at the beginning, but as you reload more, it gets much easier. You can beat almost all Rival guns and Nerf guns in general. The only ones the Hades is weak against are the Prometheus, the Nemesis, and the Khaos(the fully automatics).Quite intimidatingShoots fast and hard: several people I was with when shooting could not see the rounds being shotLightweightRarely jams, when it does a pair of nettlesome pliers can unjam the blaster without ruining any roundsSLAM FIRE!!The balls can't fall out, you have to pull them out to unloadCONS:The cocking handle is quite uncomfortable60 rounds comes with a cost, the blaster is incredibly long. I am 12 yrs old and I find it quite longYounger kids may find it difficult to cockShoots way too hard for younger kids; if they cry when hit by a dart gun, NEVER shoot them with any Rival gun!Little ones might find it heavyOverall I would say it is a great blaster for wars or competitions, maybe unwieldy, but still powerful. Packs quite the punch. I would not recommend to someone younger than 12, especially if the person's arms are short. I would say the Rival Hades is a success and one of the greatest blasters of all time.

unparalleled christmas joy !
I bought two of these wonderful nerf guns for my adult sister and her fiancé. The holidays came around and I honestly had no idea what to get for them. They’re both very playful and after some late night inspiration, I thought a set of nerf guns would be the perfect gift. Nerf has certainly changed since I was a child, and these foam balls are quite a game changer! I set off on trying to find guns with the highest round capacity for a reasonable price and the phantom corps hades was THE choice. I wrapped them up and could hardly wait for the gifts to be opened. let me tell you- there was so much holiday joy. I almost feel bad for the rest of my family because the nerf guns were the only thing they wanted to play with. Sure to be a hit with anyone. I loved them so much, i’m going to buy a set for my friends and I!Pros- tons of rounds, you won’t easily run out. Accurate, and fires very quickly.Cons- a little bulky and heavy, not for small children.
