Smart Weigh TS500 Digital Touchscreen Pocket Scale 500 x 0.1g - Black

I recently bought these scales to assist with brewing coffee. Whilst they were accurate and tracked quite quickly I found the buttons a little fiddly as they are small and recessed within the screen, and the weighing area was quite small as well (which wasn't an issue for measure espresso, but I had to extend the area with a dish to use my V60 pot).As good as they were I had to return my set as they chewed through batteries (running two new sets flat within hours). As I only had the option of a refund rather than replacement I had to wait for that whole process to occur before getting more. Unfortunately, due to this I've not bought a second set for fear that the same thing will happen and I'll be left without scales (and so coffee) again for a few days.

To be honest, I don't need a set of scales with this level of accuracy. I bought these for the kitchen, as my big old fashioned grocer's balance scales are simply not capable of accurately measuring out things in the 3 to 7g range that I need when baking. These are the typical amounts of dried yeast or salt I use when making bread. I have another much larger set of electronic scales which are supposed to be accurate to the nearest gram, but in reality they are just not up to the job and my giant balance scales are more accurate.The nice thing about this little "pocket" scale is that it is just so small. I don't need it everyday, so it just gets slipped into its pouch and put into a drawer and takes up no unnecessary room in my already overfilled kitchen

I work in a laboratory where we require accurate scales and balances for our work, down to very small weights, so you can imagine how pessimistic I was about how accurate this item would be for just £11.I needed it for weighing out small amounts of herbs and seasoning for cooking so, if it was satisfactory, it would be just right for the job.As soon as it arrived I checked it against a highly accurate "old fashioned" pan balance at several weights across the range: Absolutely spot on for weights from 0.5 gm to 50gm.So, absolutely thrilled with it, although I still can't understand how they produce such accurate equipment for the price.

Excellent product. Sturdy, well manufactured with a good, solid feel. The LED window could be better placed within the bezel however, because not all the display is easily visible. For the price I am pleased with this product.

Very pleased with this. As a bit of a geek, I "calibrated" it, using a jar-full of pennies and 2p pieces I had, and it was very good across the whole range of weights (average error 0.15g, max error 0.4g). I use it to weigh my ink cartridge to check when it needs refilling. I was amazed that it can actually register the weight of a single piece of tissue paper (0.6g) that I put underneath the cartridge. I would recommend it to anyone. No problems with delivery.

Arrived in good time and works fine. However I'm not really happy with it, as I find the buttons too small and fiddely, also the display is rather small. Does the job though.

Does exactly what I want it for. Keeps me in target with my calorie counting. Pretty robust and plenty bright enough. Smart little case. Good price.
