Prints tiny labels that I can put under clear heat shrink for wires
Used to make small labels for wires in aircraft. Covered with clear heat shrink tubing.

Fast, lost of features, tough, power cord
This is a nice machine. It can do a bunch of different modes (wraps, flags, serialized, etc) has a querty keyboard and most importantly has an AC adapter jack (sold separately). This machine requires 6 AAA batteries (!!), so being able to plug it in when you need it and not have to think about batteries is invaluable. It takes a standard 9v wall-wart, but be careful, the polarity is reversed (positive on the outside, negative on the inside) so you'll most likely have to cut the connector off and swap the wires when you put it back on.My only grievance isn't with the machine itself but the cost on Amazon, you can get this exact machine at Home Depot for half the cost.

Great label machine
First let me say that this is NOT a printer designed for heavy cable use. If you need something for more than a small office or home get one designed for that. The labels for cable making and anything else you need are great! I have to admit that I did not get mine from Amazon. The Home Depot has these for around half the price.

Great Label Maker
So far i really like this label maker. It has performed for everything I need it too. The Cable wrap labels could be a little better but they do the job. The label maker is easy to use right out the box. Having the ability to make different kinds of labels is a plus. I use this label maker at home and on the job. I am in IT. I purchased mine at Home Depot for $29.99, I dont thinks its worth what amazon is selling it for but if you can find it at Home Depot for $29.99 its a steal.

Cannot create cable-wrap labels like shown on the box
The ability to create cable-wrap labels should be one of the PT-E105's most compelling features, as this type of label avoids the tangles that flag labels present. Very nice cable wrap labels are shown on the box, and the unit makes it easy to create them. Unfortunately they are almost useless. The text for cable-wrap labels prints across the tape (not surprising), and unfortunately the max print width is only 7mm, even on 12mm tape, and accommodates only 8 characters, in a very small font, that's made even less readable by the poor dpi for that font size. As a label maker for text printed along the length of the tape, it's probably fine. But so are many other label makers. I give 1 star for failing at it's most valuable function, and then lying about it on the box.

A major pain to use. Not intuitive
Didn't buy this on Amazon, rather direct from Home Depot. I have two other P-touch label printers. A PT-P750w, and a QL-500. I bought this printer so I could have a more portable solution. After playing around with it for an hour, I was thoroughly disappointed at how difficult it is to print the most basic labels. I followed the instructions, and yes, I eventually did get the labels I wanted, but it's the kind of thing I'm going to forget how to do 6 months from now when I need to use it again. Definitely returning this item.
