As someone else commented here you can feel the mechanisms but nothing that you cannot deal with.8. Is really comfortable if you like firm like I do otherwise might be a problem for someone who like soft mattress or sofas.9. If it’s too hard or firm you can add extra cushion with a blanket or top mattress. I do put on top my Japanese mattress and works just fine.10. Overall I’m happy with my purchase and I’m planning to get another one. Is perfect if a guest stays overnight.11. Buy it, buy it, buy it!!!

This sleeper chair looks very nice, is relatively easy to use and is well built.The fabric is a classy-looking grey. It is an individual cot sized futon sleeper that folds into multiple positions so it may be used as a cot, a chaise lounge, or a chair. The back of the chair/chaise lounge also has multiple settings to incline. You can incline just the pillow area, or the entire back to several positions.When completely flat, it makes a cot just under 80 inches and is 29 inches wide. You can see the exact measurements in the description. It is longer than a standard twin sized mattress, but not as wide. yet it is plenty wide for me (6'2" and 190 lbs.).The mattress is a bit hard to sleep on for my taste, so I also purchased a 2"X30"X80" foam pad mattress topper which can be rolled up and put away when not needed. I also got a fitted sheet the same size and it works well for me.When bringing the back of the futon down from an inclined or upright position, you have to fold it inward with some force for the mechanism to release the back to fold outward and horizontal again. Since I put a 2" foam pad on it that is a little more difficult, but still doable. Just be aware that it does take some force pushing down to get it to release.There are zipper pockets where leg supports pop out at the two ends (four corners). Otherwise, the middle base has four short wooden legs that raise it off the ground and are the main support.Other than the hardness of the mattress, I am pleased with my purchase.

This was exactly what I was looking for to provide addition seating in my living room. Love that you can use it as a cot and lounger since I don't have a terribly large living space it's nice to have furniture that serves double duty. I'm not really a fan of firm seating/beds but surprisingly I find this chair very comfortable. It feels sturdy and solid, and well constructed. It was easy to put together, came pretty much already assembled just needed to put on the legs. It matches my decor nicely. I'm looking forward to lounging on this on my next lazy Sunday. Cat approved within minutes of set up!

It’s not as comfortable as I expected it to be. The cushion is really stiff, and the pillow comes with it is smaller. Fabric isn’t as smooth as I thought it would be. You can see the seam/opening for the support legs on the seat, since the pillow isn’t big enough to cover it. Overall great concept but in reality it doesn’t look as nice as shown in the pics. I really wish it was more comfortable to sit on.

I'm getting the kind of sleep where you don't know if it is morning or evening. OK as a chair, shines when you take a nap.

The product was HORRIBLE! Expensive and cheap once you get it ! Cheep material , super hard and super low you are almost on the floor if that’s what you are looking for! Once the sofa bed is actually opened, it’s practically on the floor. As a regular customer I tried to return it , I packed up and brought it to my local UPS, only to find out in order for me to return it I had to pay over $300 FOR SHIPPING !!!! EXCUSE ME , PAYING TO RETURN IT MORE THAN WHAT THE ACTUAL PRODUCT WAS WORTH ?!!! Obviously UPS has no fault in it .. I tried to contact the merchant and they did not respond that was ALL A WASTE FOR SOME CHEAP PRODUCT! Do not buy it if you are iffy about the product , because if you end up not liking it and have to return it Amazon has nothing to do with this small business selling this sofa bed, so you are on your own!

I purchased two of these for a designated game room for my grandchildren (although they are a good size for adults as well.) I was surprised at how well made and how versatile they are. They can be used as a chair, a lounger or a bed and they are longer than I thought they would be. These will be great if I have several people over at once (I do have a spare bedroom as well.) They are fairly comfortable, just a little firm but hoping in time they will soften and even if they don’t, I will toss a throw blanket on them when using for a bed. They fold & unfold fairly easy, the first time was a little stiff but it has already loosened up. This works great for a small space!
