Great product. Size is just what I wanted,,, I couldn't find anything comparable.

I would give this box 5 stars if it had come with the gasket (O-ring seal). I called Plano customer service (phone number on the label) and they indeed stated there should have been a gasket. They are mailing one out to me. I hope they follow through, as internet returns are a bit of a hassle, even though Amazon tries to make it as painless as possible. The box is large and roomy with a tray and a lid cubby. Seems solid, and lid closure system secure. Sturdy handle. If the gasket has a good seal when I get it and install it, I would rate it 5 stars. Mistakes happen. I applaud Plano for putting their phone number on the label so this omission can be remedied at low cost to everyone. Followup: Plano sent the missing gasket as promised. Makes the box water tight under the hinged cover. Excellent box - roomy, solid, nice handle. It's our "boat box" with emergency gear, registrations, and the like. We grab it and go!

Great box

The Plano Extra Large Dry Storage Box with Tray makes a good salt water pier/surf fishing tackle box. It's big. Has a very large main storage area with a lift out tray - like a deep tool box with a tool tray. A small lid storage area allows for quick and easy access for additional rigging and change out lures/weights. Like the orange color because it is easy to see and find while moving up and down - along with the orange HD 5 gallon buckets I also use - on the pier or surf. This is a sealed storage box with a rubber "0-ring" around the perimeter of the larger storage area - much like a very large plastic ammunition storage box. More importantly for surf/pier fishing uses it will help prevent salt water, sand and dirt from getting into the tackle box. I have used other specifically designed tackle boxes and trays on the pier/surf but had problems with sand, dirt and salt water getting in the tackle, tools and line I bring to fish. Makes for a longer term mess especially with salt water corrosion eventually rusting/staining even stainless steel equipment. I would not recommend this unit as a tool box or for storing and transporting heavier items - not sure it could handle the weight of a set of tools you could put in it. The main box is big. It seems sturdy enough for tackle and a few tools like pliers etc but not as a tool box. Does not appear to be sturdy enough for this heavier use and abuse. Highly recommended as a large tackle box or other similar lighter weight/abuse uses.

This box definitely lives up to the Plano name for quality. Box is sturdy plastic and both latch and hinge appear they will last with repeated use. The handle also should be capable of holding an appropriate amount of weight for the size of the container. Not mentioned elsewhere, there are divider slots on the inside to accept maybe 1/8 inch thick material. I may cut up an old clip board to fit as a DIY enhancement to keep contents from shifting. Inside tray is sturdy and the compartment on the lid is a nice feature. Double check the dimensions though, this is a huge box! Originally purchased for a use that needed a smaller "standard" ammo box. Well, this one is it's daddy. Overkill for my initial use, but this is a keeper for sure.

This storage box is perfect for all my jewelry repair tools! It holds more than you think it would. Easy open and easy close, and very portable! I'm happy I found it on Amazon!

I was looking for a container suitable to organize my home medical supplies and first aid. That this case happens to be water-resistant is an unexpected bonus. It seems very sturdy. The insert tray is large enough to hold many of the items I would access more frequently. The bottom of the case is deep enough to hold boxes of gloves and bandages. There is also a recessed compartment on the lid that turned out to be useful as well. I can purchase much smaller and flimsier cases at a higher price, but why would I want to do that?

Hello summer! I have a casual outdoor kitchen that I use daily [ simple table top Grill and propane cooktop-oven combo] so this was perfect to keep my oven mitts, lighter, supplies, spices salt and pepper , olive oil, and 6 bottles of sauces for the grill so handy outdoors! I even hid a little Deep Eddys Peach in the bottom! I need to find rim sugars too! Prevents having to run back and forth to the kitchen indoors, surprisingly spacious. My guests were so impressed they want one too! Most definitely ordering these as gifts for Father’s Day.

Die Kiste bietet sehr viel Platz. Der Verschluss mit Gummidichtung sorgt für eine zuverlässige Abdichtung. Die Einlage ist besonders praktisch für Kleinteile. Ich habe die Kiste im Angebot für ca. 40 € gekauft – mehr würde ich dafür nicht ausgeben. Die Stabilität ist in Ordnung, selbst bei einer Beladung von etwa zehn Kilogramm. Es ist bereits meine zweite Kiste, und ich würde sie bei Bedarf wieder kaufen bzw. weiterempfehlen. Zudem kann die Kiste mit einem Schloss gesichert werden, was möglicherweise für Sportschützen von Interesse ist.
