Got this for my mum after she had a scare with someone knocking on her door late one evening. Thankfully it wasn’t anything serious, but it really shook her up. She’s in her 70s, lives on her own, and I just wanted something to help her feel a bit more secure — and honestly, this has been brilliant.The screen is big and bright enough that she can see who’s there without squinting, and the wide-angle camera means she’s not just seeing a face in the lens — she can check what’s going on around the doorway too. The night vision is clear and has been really useful, especially now the evenings are darker.One of the things I really like is the motion detection with zones — I helped her set it up so it only triggers if someone actually approaches the door, not just people walking past on the pavement. She gets a ping on her phone or the indoor screen, and it even records if we want to look back.The two-way audio means she can talk to whoever’s at the door without opening it, and that alone has made a huge difference to her confidence. She told a delivery driver to leave a parcel behind the bin the other day without ever unlocking the door — I don’t think she’d have done that before.We used her existing doorbell wiring (two-wire system), and I mounted the monitor in her hallway. It’s powered by a simple adapter, and everything else was fairly easy to set up, even for someone who’s not super technical (though I did the app setup for her just to be safe).She’s also using the RFID tags so she doesn’t have to fumble with keys anymore, and I’ve got the app on my phone too — so if I get a notification while she’s out in the garden or not near the screen, I can check and even talk to whoever’s there.It’s just given us both a lot of peace of mind. She feels safer and more independent, and I feel like I can look out for her even when I’m not there. Couldn’t really ask for more than that.

We have just got this Honmidatek smart doorbell intercom system for our home. Out of the box, there are the doorbell itself and a 10.1 inch IPS touch screen controller which are both looks really good. The system also comes with all accessories needed to set up including power adapter, cable connectors...The installation process is pretty easy and straightforward1. Run the wires from inside to outside2. Mark and drill 4 holes on the door side3. Apply expansion dowels and install the doorbell base with screws.4. Connect the wires, gate/door lock and access button wires (if applied) and apply the doorbell on the base (the doorbell is waterproof so it is safe outside).5. Mark and drill 2 holes on the inside side6. Apply expansion dowels and install the LCD screen base with screws.7. Connect the wires, power adapter and apply the LCD screen on the baseThe doorbell supports 1080P HD night vision, motion detection, 2 ways audio and RFID. While the touch screen controller has really good quality image and supports App (Smart Life - Tuya App). There is a SD card slot on the back of the screen controller for storage video footage.Overall, we would like to recommend this doorbell intercom system due to its great quality and functions

Good Video entry panel. Wide angle and clear picture. Did not use lock release or access control function as not required. Used to replace an old system and had multicore wiring already in place already. Easy enough to connect up, (worth noting that the data pair between the entry panel and the monitor have a crossover wiring connection).Negatives - Does not push notifications onto phone (android) although camera picture can be viewed. The camera housing casing of the external panel is plastic and a bit flimsy. Not using the access cards but they are ridiculously flimsy and likely to snap in half.The internal screen mount is not very secure and is not locked in position. If pushed up a few mm it will fall off the wall so not good if in a busy entrance hall or position with a lot of traffic!

The picture on this doorbell is good even in low-light. I haven't used the unlock feature.

Excellent quality system that has given me real peace of mind.It was really easy to install myself without the assistance of an electrician and was able to link in with an app that I already use for other smart technologiesThe 7" screen gives a crisp clear picture and the audio on the intercom is excellent.I do not have a gate entry system and I am not using the unlock feature I just simply wanted a video doorbell with a screen and intercom and this has been ideal for me.Really great quality and value
