Pflueger® Trion® Spinning Combo, 7' - Medium - 1pc

Maybe not the top of the line but I have caught quite a few fish with this rig. I did have to do some tuning on the bail as it was sticky from the factory. I paid $60.00 with free shipping and that is a bargain. Line quality is the key on this rig.UPDATE 3/1/17I have been using these in salt water with 20 lb braid for sea trout, pompano and bluefish and they work very well.Make sure you rinse the entire rig off with fresh water and flush inside and outside the spool assembly and you won't have any issues with corrosion.

For the money its a good combo . It is functional and well balanced.

I have used this rod and reel to catch fish in San Diego Bay, it has held up great to anything that has hit my line. from sharks to bay bass, sand bass and kelp bass, this rod and reel really did the trick. I would recommend it to any one who wants a lite outfit for bass, or trout.

Great rod can’t cast super far

This combo was purchased in June 2019. After each use it was rinsed thoroughly with fresh water as I do with my other rods. I also own a Penn Pursuit II which is similarly priced rod purchased over one year ago. Went to use the Pflueger today after it has been sitting for about 3 weeks and found the reel seized. I'm very disappointed in quality of the Pflueger Trion Fishing Reel and Rod Combo. I would not recommend this combo for water of any sort as the materials in the reel are not up to snuff.

It's a 7ft One piece rod! How is the average person supposed to safely transport it? Not Happy

don't buy this combo, the first two time I used it , the first, the tip broke, the second ,the drag doesn't work and the reel locked up. I tried customer service by phone and website and got the message " please try another time ,unable to send now". Yeah sure, this company is crap, don't be fooled like I was.
