Great knife. Very good looking. Blade came shaving sharp, and is easy to keep a consistent edge on. Perfect size for reasonable daily use. Light weight, and the sheath is the perfect size and formfactor to carry in the pocket or on the belt for daily carry. When carrying a fixed blade knife for daily use, I appendix carry on the belt or to the waistband of my pants. Keep this in mind if you're a big guy like me. The thumb ridge on the sheath can dig into your stomach depending on belt placement. I had to sand the edges and round them out to make it more comfortable. But that's a me problem, not a product problem.

no detent at all! seller said to get to try a heat gun and work with it maybe, but that didn't work. a person needs the proper tools to work with kydex, and i dont have them. If i were setup to build kydex sheaths myself I think id buy the blade I want then build my own sheath for it. A foldover sheath just like this one, but with a real strong detent for sure. The the foldover/taco style sheath is what pushed me to choose this knife in the first place. But its... its just not too good this time. I gave it two stars as a really like the knife. It's a big bummer. I must have the worst luck! guess it has to go back. Now the choice; try a second one or try something different? all the looking done for what i wanted this was closest choice. i guess we'll try one more time. what a drag! UPDATE 07JUN2022: I got a replacement. WOW! totally awesome! up'd the rating to 5 stars . This knife snaps into the kydex just the way you'd hope for. Very happy now. Not sure why some say its small, maybe they have bigger hands than mine? I wear a large work glove. I’m wondering if that last one was someone’s return that got mixed in with new as the two items were in differing conditions inside the box. But that doesn’t really matter as this replacement is everything I’d hoped it was to be when I’d initially chose it. This is perfect size and weight for an EDC fixed blade. I love it! I still wish it was 1095hc though. But D2 is much better than plain ole' stainless steel (imo). UPDATE MARCH15, 2023; I love mine so much i bought one for my little brother. I checked it, bevels are perfect, and sharp. And the kydex sheath detent is completely tight and perfect. My brother was happy with his birthday present!

The blade itself is amazing! Excellent sharpness right out of the box, solid full tang, thick beautiful handle that fits my smaller framed hands well, and the blade geometry is great for field/backcountry work. I’m only giving 4 stars because the kydex sheath is insanely strong in retention and because the handle partially fits in the sheath, you can’t get a solid grip to pull out easily. Definitely not made for a fast deploy. I’m hoping with time and use, the retention eases up a bit.

This review is for the Sandalwood Handled, Nitro V, full size Harpoon. This is a fantastic knife, and came wicked sharp right out of the box. The blade length is just right, and is very slicey. The spine is a nice and sharp 90 degrees which is great for striking ferrocerium rods. the sandalwood handle is beautiful and is just big enough for my 2xl glove sized hands (Though I may add a lanyard for a bit extra purchase). The knife when sheathed can be pocket carried if you have pants with larger pockets such as BDUs, but might be a bit big for smaller pockets and tighter pants. Also in regard to pocket carry, the thumb ramp on the sheath can be used to deploy the knife if used against the side of the pocket (may take a little practice.). This is very likely to become my daily EDC fixed blade. Over all, this is a very nice knife and cannot be beat for the price (50$ as of 5-6-2025)

I am usually hesitant on brands I haven't heard of before. This brand is really nice 👌 The quality and build of this knife is beautiful. Right out of the box the edge is surgical sharp. The sheath can be adjusted for numerous carrying positions and the retention is sturdy. I would highly recommend this knife who is looking for an affordable blade with great quality!

I bought this knife on a lightning deal. It is a really nice quality knife from Kizer. However, Amazon sent me a used knife that does not come with wrapper, tip protector, and a cleaning clothe. The knife also had some small scratches and the blade tip has a different shade/shine than the rest of blade. These signs indicate the knife is used or reworked. This is not acceptable since I paid for a brand new knife, not a refurbished or reworked knife. I submitted an exchange request and Amazon sent me a brand new knife and I returned the used knife via UPS. Please make sure you check your blade before you decide to keep it and use it.

Outstanding blade. I carry mine daily, and the Nitro V is holding a 16-degree razor edge very well. I couldn't be happier with the quality of my purchase, as it has done everything I have asked it to do. The kidex sheath is nice in my opinion. I carry mine on my side at about a 45-degree angle. If needed, it stays pretty hidden under my t-shirt or jacket. My only complaint is with the blade design. If you have larger hands or are not careful, you will cut your finger on the edge of the blade closest to the handle. Ask me how I know.... Make sure you maintain a proper grip on the handle. This is my first Kizer knife, but it won't be my last. They make really great knives if this one is any representation of the quality of their products.
