This is a really nice charging unit. It is a smart charger that brings my 18650 batteries to a full charge. If you have the flat top batteries with no button, it just barely makes contact. With mine I can move the battery around and it will make contact, or just put a small piece of tinfoil between the battery and the contact. With normal button top 18650 batteries it works perfect. Even with the this minor annoyance I love it and give it 5 stars. Thanks

I rate this unit with 5 stars. This is a top quality product that charges and conditions your Li-Ion 18650 batteries as well as other Li-Ion batteries. The key to long life with these batteries is to charge them properly and not to over or under charge them. This way you can maximize the 300+ charges you will get from these batteries. about the device on Amazon.com. However the primary reason I bought this charger is that by placing a single 18650 Li-Ion battery into the charging slot you can plug in any device that needs to be charged by the use of a USB cable. This way I can charge cell phones or my GPS hand held device. I would imagine you can charge several devices this way with only on 18650 battery. This would be especially useful if you are on a camping trip with no AC outlet needed to charge these devices. As far as I know, XSTAR is a Hong Kong based company, therefore they should produce decent quality products.I'm not an expert in the battery/charging department, but so far it has done its job. Charging could take awhile, one time I charged an 18650 battery with 3400mAh (the green one by EagleTac) and it took the whole night. (8+hrs) I could have had the settings wrong because they don't have a very easy-to-understand manual. Perhaps I was charging with a low current. I'll have to experiment a little to find out.The only complain I have for this is their manual is not very novice friendly and could have done better in explaining their product.

Excellent charger, fits all my batteries from 18350 up to 18650 without needing spacers like the previous version. Full 1 amp on both slots means quick charge time.

Too be clear, I probably shouldn't have left the charger in my car all the time. But, that said, the plastic of this warped nine different ways over time and it became a nightmare to keep batteries in contact with the charger.I did not leave it in direct sunlight, but it's rather sensitive to heat and I live in a bloody hot climate.Would recommend, but would not recommend using as a car charger. Best to leave this one at home.

This said in the title and in the details that it came with a car charger. The whole reason I got this charger was to be able to use its car adaptor. But, I get it, open it and there is only spotty instructions on how to use it, there is at least a wall charger, which I can not use since there ARE NO outlets near me that I have access to, AND there IS NO car adaptor. Sooo...yeah. Pointless buy if no one responds to the email I sent.

While it has no advanced interface with power levels, etc, I don't expect much for the price. It charges my 18650 batteries very effecrveily and I've been able to reverse charge an iphone when my 18650 twice with this device. Great for the price; great features and does what it is designed to do.

Wrap a piece of electrical tape around the battery so it doesn't fall out of the charger and you can charge your ipod, ipad, whatever. Also this charges batteries quickly. Get some decent batteries tho, there are some really terrible ones out there. Get a minimum of a 3100 mAH 18650 Lithium-ion battery. This new technology battery has made some incredibly bright flashlights possible. I own 2 zebralights using this battery, one with 900 lumens, and a 500 lumen head lamp. I consider both of them invaluable and am never without one. (I'm an engineroom snipe) I'd give it 5 stars but it's somewhat ugly.
