Skin was left SUPER soft, since there are hydrating ingredients first and a gentle sulfate (sodium laurETH sulfate) in the product. 2. The sulfate is later on in the ingredients list (lower concentration) unlike in most cleansers, meaning oil, dirt, viruses, waterproof sunscreen will definitely be removed because of it, but without drying out. Oil-cleanser used prior to it could be beneficial for removing sunscreen. 3.Could be wonderful for sensitive skin LOOK AT THIS INGREDIENTS LIST, literally couple of lines! Unscented, no common allergens...wow(although check twice yourself). Sulfates are actually not that bad as marketing proclaims, but if that is what's triggering your sensitive skin, redness, rosacea - may not be for you, everybody's skin is different. 4. MULTI-FUNCTIONAL, GREAT SIZE. This is not only great for face, but for certain gentle areas of your body, like groin area. You can also use this on your upper chest of back, if you have acne there, to lessen the irritation to minimum. The size is perfect for usage in multiple areas and the pump helps a lot. 5.Honestly, it is great for any skin, it is mild enough to not disrupt the skin barrier too much (dry, sensitive, acne prone skin ppl), but has a gentle sulfate to dissolve what needs to be dissolved(oily ppl). Nobody needs sensitizing fragrance or harsh cleansing. Qualities: 1. Does not really foam up, maybe just a tiny bit. So you don't really see where is it on your face when washing it off, so rely more on the feeling of your fingers. DONT WORRY you don't need to use more for it to be effective, it feels a bit different to usual, but trust me, when you wash it off, the oil will be gone. 2.It's liquidy, but not sticky at all, washes off easily. 3. Very satisfying bottle, you can regulate the amount you put on your face, press the pump lightly for less product. 4.I used it without any moisturizer, and my face felt very soft, not irritated, but a tiny, tiny bit tight on the cheeks, but that is only because moisturizer is essential. 5. You can even use it without water, so it is VERY VERY GENTLE. How I used it: So I have used this product with oil cleanser first and without it, and it works quite well in both ways. Sometimes, I feel like it works a bit better on its own, because it is really gentle, so make sure you have emulsifiers in your cleansing oil (stuff that helps it wash of) to make sure that used in a double cleansing method no greasy residua is left from oil cleanser. Double cleansing ensures that oil-based substances like makeup, sunscreen, debris, dirt are dissolved by oil cleanser (oil likes oil) and then carefully removed by going in with a gentle cleanser, which is a perfect combo to ensure minimal barrier disruption and most effective cleansing. Why I needed this: I am going to start a retinoid journey soon, so I needed a gentle, fragrance-free, non-irritating cleanser for not more than 20 pounds. And Voila! Will give an update when it will be used along with retinoid. My skin type: Combination, oily T-zone, dry to normal cheeks, acne and redness prone, quite sensitive skin. All in one. Wishes: 1. Size: I suppose, if there was a bigger bottle the value for money would be even better. 2. PH: It would be helpful to know the PH of it, but I didn't find it on the bottle. I imagine, it is not the ideal PH, but is close to it. However, that is just a random guessing. Conclusion: WOW and GREAT for me, could be great for you. I suggest anybody should try it. In my opinion, you do not really need too much interesting ingredients in a face wash, since, guess what, they are going to be washed off. Unless it is salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide you want to try as your main active ingredient for acne, those are proven to work in short contact time and application in a wash form can minimize irritation from those. Otherwise just use this wonderful product. I am so happy there is such simple formulation (I mean the number of ingredients) on the market, that is made FOR YOUR SKIN'S HEALTH and NOT for JUST SELLING MORE with all the fancy fragrances. Hope you find that helpful to make a decision!

I really love this product, I have very sensitive dry skin prone to allergies, this product gets all my make up off without drying my skin and doesn't give me spots either, I massage it in and rinse off, not cheap but its a massive bottle that lasts forever so really worth it

Although shown as free from Sodium Laurel Sulfate (SLS), this does contain Sodium Laureth Suflate (SLES).

Unfortunately my skin does not like this product. It causes red spots all over my forehead - a shame really.

This cleaner was recommended by my dermatologist after I began reacting to several face lotions. I began using it along with the DML moisturizer about a year ago. This is my second bottle of cleanser. I have had no adverse reactions at all and my skin looks better than it has for years. The cleanser goes on easily and I generally rinse it off with water (also very easy to do), though I see some people don't rinse it off at all, just wipe it dry.

My skin is very sensitive and I was plagued with acne throughout my life from my teenager years until now as an adult. My face is really oily. I would normally use a face wash, then use over the counter acne medications like benzoyl peroxide. This would dry out my face. I then used Proactiv and the other acne system they were airing commercials for years ago (I can't remember the name, but that made me break out more and I it hurt to touch my face!) On top of that, my face would turn really red and dry due to irritation. My dermatologist recommended this since it is real gentle on the skin. I have been using this cleanser every morning and night for months. I am pleased to say that I have no need for any acne medications. This is also gentle and it lessens the redness that usually occurred when I used over the counter acne medications. My face is normally a little red since it's sensitive. Your results may vary, but why not give it a try as it's really gentle on the skin.
