Excellent product
First I have to say that I didnt buy these to do weight lifting. I have absolutely no upper body strength thanks to my genetic health condition Marfan Syndome. I bought these in hope they would help support my wrists as I walk using two sticks putting serious weight onto them both and was recently diagnosed with carpel tunnel syndrome which has come on in the last 2 years as a result (trapped or damaged nerves in the wrist). This product is EXACTLY what I hoped as it gives the much needed support I hoped it would. I highly recommend others try it if they have a similar need, but obviously what works for one may not work for another as we are all different, but you can but try. I love them!

Excellent quality but seams rub a little
Great quality and feel like they will last a long time. My only issue is with comfort, I find the seams on the inside of the fingers rub on my little finger and if you don't overlap the seam on the wrist strap that also rubs.

These are perfect!Protective, holding the weights good, even when the hands are wet + they're quite protective to the skin, which is big +.The protective band, when tightened is providing a very good support to the wrists when doing barbell curls too!

I bought these gloves to replace my Ixion gear gloves which have served me for 3 years. But it appears I will go back to those gloves. I will explain why below...Pros- the product is generally well made and looks sturdy- has a good grip that allows me to hold on to weights pretty well- the company has great customer serviceCons- the gloves have poor padding for heavy lifting which was the main reason I bought them. For instance on the Lats bar - if I used a weight in the range of 40 - 80 lbs, the glove performs very well. However, if I increased the weight to about 120 - 160 lbs, I can feel the full pressure of the weight pressing into the palms of my hands resulting in my hands burning. Same thing happens after my second / third set of pull-ups or bench pressing any weight over 130 lbs. The padding is too thin especially around the upper palm at the base of the fingers for heavy lifting. Which defeats the main purpose of why I bought the gloves. .... I never had this issue with my previous weight lifting gloves

Well made, comfortable weightlifting gloves
Update: At about 11 months after I first started using them, the gloves reached the point where I needed to replace them. I would say I average 2.25 hours per week lifting weights. I was hoping the gloves would last a bit longer but they have been so effective, that I have decided to keep my rating at 5 stars, and I am purchasing another pair.I have used different brands of weightlifting gloves over the years, and I am glad to have found these Steel Sweats. They protect the calloused areas of my palms much more effectively than other brands. They are well made and seem quite sturdy, and now I know how long they last for me.If you decided to purchase these, be sure to follow the instructions for measuring your hands, and then consider choosing the next size up. Initially, I bought the large (L) size. Based on the sizing chart, that seemed to be the best choice. However, they proved to be too tight, so I returned them at no cost and received a prompt refund from Amazon. When the XL size became available (they had been out of stock) I bought them. Even the XLs seemed a bit tight the first time I put them on, but perhaps they simply needed to be broken in. After wearing them just once, they have become comfortable.

Great potential - lasted less than 50 hours of medium use
Great potential but they lasted less than 50 hours of use. I used these gloves 6 times a week for about an hour at a time. I am not a bodybuilder, but do a variety of weights. I bought these about 5-6 weeks ago and the left glove is already ripping with holes in them. The right glove is almost worn through as well. I’ve included photos. The grip wore off within a matter of about 20 hours. The holes began to appear after about 40 hours of use. I took good care of these gloves as directed. On the positive side they were very comfortable. The wrist bands are a perfect length, even while wearing a watch. The pull tabs on the fingers are a great idea, although those also started tearing after about 40 hours of use.The gloves were comfortable and I would love to buy another pair if they had lasted longer. But buying a pair every month or so just isn’t feasible.

Comfortable, effective gloves and fantastic customer service.
When it was time to get a new pair of weightlifting gloves, I searched Amazon for a new pair of my standard Harbingers but, after performing some research, learned that Harbinger had apparently stopped using real leather, that Harbinger stitching was not as reliable as in years past, and that Harbingers were pricier than I had recalled the last time I purchased gloves. In any event, stumbled upon these Steel Sweat gloves and, seeing that the reviews were almost universally positive, that Steel Sweat used real leather, and that they were more competitively priced than the comparable gloves sold by Harbinger, I decided to give them a try. I have not been disappointed. They are extremely comfortable and effective. When I had a slight issue involving the stitching between the strap on one of the gloves and the glove itself coming undone (admittedly, after several months of moderate - heavy use, and I also tend to pull the straps hard for a very tight fit around my wrists), I contacted Steel Sweat about the issue, and Jasmine in customer support did not hesitate to replace my glove without charge. When it comes time for another replacement (hopefully, a few years from now), I will be going straight to Steel Sweat this time around.

The Best Pair of Gloves I Have Had So Far
Gives me enough cushion on my palms to where it doesn't cause irritation from the pressure of the weight as well as when I am gripping/holding something heavy. Basically it is evenly distributed across the palm which prevents, what I call a "Hot Spot". "Hot Spots" are the area where sections on the palm of the glove are pressing into the palm more than other areas are. leaving your palm with a red indent where the extra cushion was. It tends to burn like it does if you were developing a blister if you keep wearing the gloves throughout the days workout.I can say that this glove has surpassed my own expectations. It is very well made, material is durable and seems like it will hang with me through my 2017 weightlifting journey. I love the extra lip at the tips of two fingers and thumb, it adds for extra support in removing the gloves as well as it protects the proximal palmar crease (middle crease on your finger). I like but dislike the wrist strap. I like the strap for support and boy does it support the wrist. I just do not like that I can not wear my fit gear II if I want to put the gloves on. other than that these are one of my favorite gloves so far.

A great change! Actually brought me back to using gloves!
Decided to start using gloves again because some people complain about the hardened skin on my hands. The reason I stopped using gloves was because while doing weights, gloves may become a second layer of skin which moves more than your actual skin.Nearly broke my wrist twice which the last (Adidas) pairs that I had. Another issue was the fact that despite being "weight gloves" i still felt the pain on my palms.Used these gloves fresh off the package. It is a work of art.The leather positioning, the fit and the wrist straps (which actually work on these gloves unlike other brands) are designed to give you gloves which you wear but act exactly like your own skin.No pain while using the weights or machines at all.No slipping of weights that put your wrist at risk.No discomfort or itch while wearing them.Would buy it 10 times over if required. Also, the email after the purchase is surprising and pleasant touch.Happy lifting!

Very Pleased
I have been lifting weights on and off my entire life. I weigh a relatively lean 220lbs and have average sized hands for my body-type. I can palm a basketball but just barely. I do not have fat fingers. This is probably my 10th time to buy new lifting gloves (the first time I've bought this brand). I have owned these "Steel Sweat Weightlifting Gloves with Wrist Wrap Support size (L)" for less than a week but so far I am very impressed despite my failure to order the correct size (too small). I have decided to give this pair to my younger brother and order a size (XL).Pros:Feels high quality.Feels very durable.Strong wrist wrap which is more than cosmetic (unlike some other brands).. meaning it actually supports your wrists. All the stitching in all of the right places. Despite the size being too small, the stitching design was done meticulously as to fit the hand perfectly. The little diamond grips in the palm work pretty well - though time will tell whether or not they will stay attached to the glove.Leather feels genuine (though I am sure it's not at this price)InexpensiveCons:I neglected to measure my hand and ordered a size or two too small because I typically order Large weightlifting gloves. The Left and Right stitching on the inside of the glove is backwards (lol).Other Thoughts:These are probably going to be my go-to pair of lifting gloves. I really really like how they feel and look. I am a verified purchase reviewer, none of my reviews are fake or paid for. I recommend these to anyone male or female.

Excellent gloves. Seams are positioned so as not to ...
Excellent gloves. Seams are positioned so as not to put any pressure on fingers or palms when gripping barbells or dumb bells. They broke in nicely and now I hardly even know I am wearing them. Wrist cuff has additional Velcro to prevent slippage or bunching of cuff when using the wrist wrap. I can tighten or loosen the cuff and wrap for more wrist support or less. I tighten the cuff and wrist wrap for curls and they keep my wrist stable. The padding prevents callouses from forming on the palms of my hands. There is no discomfort when the weights rest on the thumb joint. Quite the opposite, the bar rests snuggly in my hand. I use thirty and forty pound dumbbells for decline and incline presses. No slippage, no fear of dropping the weight on my face, no agony in the thumb joint. Perfect. I plan to buy another pair to have when this pair eventually wears out. I also received an email from Steel Sweat, maker of these gloves, ensuring that my product had arrived timely and in good condition. Only the second time a seller has asked me this. The quality of these gloves, the comfortable fit, and their concern that my product arrived tells me this company cares for those of us who buy their products. Excellent all around. Thank you steel sweat. My hands love you.

Check the sizing before you buy
So I returned these gloves but it was due tot the fact that they would not fit. I’m 6’ and 242 lbs. The 2xl is the largest size they make but they would not fit me so if you are a larger guy these may not work for you. But, if they have your size these were really well made gloves. The stitching looked really good, the padding was in the right places and the thickness of the leather was really nice. Overall they just seemed like they were really well made so for the price it seems like a really good deal. The only complaint other than the size was the palm “grips”. I’m not sure how much grip they will offer it how long they would last before ripping off due to heavy compound lift like dead lifts. They just seemed like little plastic dots.

The leather is nice and durable
I've been using these a few times a week for three months now. I'd say it's a solid 3, possibly 3.5 star pair of gloves. The positives: The color is exactly as pictured. The leather is nice and durable, and it molds to the shape of my hands without stretching and becoming loose like every single pair of non-leather gloves I've tried. The wrist wrap provides great support and the strap is wide enough that the bottom of the glove doesn't pop out (another issue I have with every other pair of gloves I've tried!). It also has velcro closure at two spots on the strap, at the beginning and at the end, whereas most gloves only have one spot on the end. The double closure also does a great job of keeping the straps in place. The negatives: as some other reviewers have mentioned, the internal stitching is wonky and digs into the hands, particularly the soft spots between the fingers (NOT an issue I've ever had with any other pair of gloves I've tried!) It does get better once they've broken in, but that really shouldn't be an issue in the first place. But the biggest problem is the so-called "anti-slip grips": the red grip dots are completely useless. They don't grip at all. If anything, they're slippery! My bare skin grips better than those dots. Every other glove I've ever owned has had far, far better grip. The odd: The quick removal tabs are on the first and third fingers. They still work, but... every pair of gloves I've had has had them on different fingers, but they've all at least had one on the middle fingers of each glove, and that is by far the most useful finger for pulling gloves off. It's a little baffling that this one pair of gloves doesn't do the middle finger. But, like I said, it only makes it a little more difficult, so it's not really a big issue.Still, in spite of the flaws this is far and away the best pair of gloves I've found in the under-$20 price range. If they improved the anti-slip grip, put a quick-removal tab on the middle fingers, and fixed the inner stitching, this would absolutely be a five star pair of gloves and I'd probably buy a few more pairs.

Well Designed, Well Constructed and Good Fit
A couple of months ago, I decided it was time to replace my torn and fraying Harbinger weight lifting gloves (the model with integrated wrist straps). I have used Harbinger gloves for years, and thought I would just buy another pair of the same, but the recent Amazon reviews made me re-think that decision. Many users talked about how Harbinger's quality has slipped, and described (with photos) Harbinger's newest gloves as poorly made and falling apart. After much searching and reading, I took a chance on these Steel Sweat gloves. Wow - I am a Steel Sweat convert. The wrist strap is even more stout and supportive than my old gloves, they are very comfortable (no pinching or rough seams), and the fit is perfect. The Steel Sweats have more padding in the palm than the Harbingers, which has taken some getting used to, but I am adapting to the new feel. At first, I thought the pull tabs on the underside of each finger would be unnecessary, but discovered the tabs are actually very useful in pulling the gloves off of sweaty hands. The gloves are very well thought out, and constructed with double stitching everywhere. It seems like the leather is a bit thicker than the Harbingers, which should help them last longer. The Velcro attachment areas on the wrist straps are huge, adding to the stiffness of the wrist straps to support the wrists better. I have included photos of the camo version - the pattern is very subdued and classy looking. On top of everything, these gloves are very reasonably priced. I highly recommend these gloves.
