These are pretty frames.
I was able to replace my frames with these, after they broke, when they fell off the wall.

Beautiful Frame, but not well put together
The frame itself is very beautiful. I loved the color of it even those there were minor issues with even coloring in the stained wood, these flaws are probably only noticed by someone like me. My husband didn't even notice them and I had to point them out. The glass was clear and didn't have any weird smudges or fingerprints when it arrived. The back fasteners were all in place and none were broken off. You do have to nail in the wall hanger yourself, this makes me a little nervous as this is a really large and heavy frame. If I don't do this just right, it might fall off my wall and shatter leaving glass and more than likely ruining the very expensive picture of our son.On to the construction itself. I guess you really do get what you pay for. I was looking for an affordable frame for the expensive print of our son. This one wasn't the cheapest I could find, but it was pretty cheap. I regret the decision to buy it. The joints do not meet up entirely and leave a small gap, this wouldn't be so horrible, but the underlying wood in between feels like it is stark white in comparison (it isn't, it is just blonde, but boy does it really stand out!) I am going to try and use a black marker and color the exposed visible regions and see if that will work. The frame doesn't look damaged or like it was dropped (the glass would have shattered) so it has to just be poorly constructed.

Cost-effective solution
I bought some artwork (unframed) for a friend of mine and wanted an affordable frame to present the gift in. I think the frame is a good value-- it looks great for the price. If you're looking for something truly elegant, you need to spend some serious money. I'm not that committed to the frame itself, so I'm content with this. The back board was not perfectly cut, so I needed to trim it down slightly myself to prevent bulging of the compressed board. The product arrived unharmed inside lots of bubble wrap and in an oversized box (others have knocked the box-- it is large). The glass was not broken, so I was very happy. (This was a first for me-- when I have ordered frames from amazon in the past, they have always arrived with shattered glass. Sometimes the replacements were also shattered). Other reviews have complained about gaps between the pieces, but I do not see any.

Nice frame but does NOT come ready to hang
The frame itself is decent quality. You will be able to see the seems where the four corners meet (slightly). My reason for giving 3-stars is the ridiculous fact that I had to add the picture frame hook myself. I understand the company's logic- let the consumer decide if hanging vertical or horizontal. But tell me, how much money can it really cost to just add hanging hooks on two sides like all other frames? Instead they provide you with the hook and two tiny nails to do it yourself. There are no measurements, no pre-marked holes, nothing. I measured the frame and attempted to nail the hook in. Well, the nail is so tiny you can barely hold it and hammer without hitting your finger. I'm a female with tiny hands...I don't think a man could get the tiny nail in. And the weird part is that the nail did not want to go in. I hang pictures all the time. I know my way around a hammer and nail but this sucker was stubborn. Finally I got it in but seriously, it was annoying to spend so much time on something that the company should have had done already.

What can I say, it's a picture frame. ...
What can I say, it's a picture frame. But, it's put together well even though I'm not sure what the material is that the frame is made of - meaning that it is not wood but is some sort of pressurized fiber board type material. This said, the frame arrived in a huge box with lots of packing bubbles. However, these did not protect one of the corners of the frame, which was crushed in an odd way that is special to this odd frame material. The packers should use some special corner guards in addition to the "bubbles". I did not try to reuse the giant box to return the frame. The frame currently is in the attic next to a few other old frames that are no longer used.

Very nice looking but the hanging piece is a big minus to deal with
My daughter made me a colored picture which is 16x20 purchased this frame because it looked very nice which it is, well put together and the reason I took away two stats is due to having to nail the hanging brackets which needless to say was a pain to due.We had to make a small hole with an ice pick but a small drill would have been better since it took a few poundings to get it close enough to make it flushed. The wood is quite hard.My recommendation would be to either install two hangers in case you want it landscape or at least make the holes to at each side to get it started easier.

Nice frame
The frame is pretty nice. I used it to put a newspaper article in. But like everyone else says putting the hardware to hang it on the back is extremely difficult. The nails are very tiny and I have small hands. It took me about a half hour to be able to do it. Other than that I have no complaints. It arrived in a huge box and bubble wrapped like no ones business.

Great except for hardware
A very nice looking picture frame. I am deducting one star because the frame requires the installation of the hanging hardware and the wood is so hard and nails so tiny that predrilling was necessary. You may want to look at a frame that has hanging hardware preinstalled.
