Absolute powerhouse CPU, AMD FTW
Upgraded to the 9800X3D from a INTEL 13700KF, and the performance jump is insane. This chip is hands-down a monster when it comes to gaming. Paired with a 7900 XTX and 32GB of DDR5 RAM, I'm hitting 200+ FPS in D4, PoE2, at 1440p ultra settings, and consistently over 180 FPS in Doom: Dark Ages on ultra/high settings enabled. The 3D V-Cache really shines in CPU-intensive titles like Starfield and Baldur’s Gate 3 – smooth, responsive gameplay with noticeably reduced stuttering during heavy scenes. Temps stay reasonable with a good AIO cooler (running around 70–75°C under heavy load, 45-60⁰C in less intensive gaming), and it's surprisingly power-efficient given the performance it delivers.Multitasking is also a breeze. I stream, run Discord, Chrome tabs, and game all at once with zero slowdowns. Plus, setup was plug-and-play on my Gigabyte X870 board with the latest BIOS update—super easy transition. Just make sure you update your BIOS to the recent update! If you're building a high-end gaming rig and want top-tier performance without going Threadripper or HEDT, this chip is it. AMD knocked it out of the park. No regrets.

The BEST CPU on the market for gaming
This is the best bang for your buck CPU currently on the market! I've been using it with no issues, even on a more budget-friendly motherboard.Currently, I got lucky enough with the silicon lottery, and can overclock it to a stable 5.4GHz CPU Clock Speed, while maintaining under 70C load. I also optimized the curve in my BIOS, and it pushes frames like nothing else on this world! I can't believe it performs this well with such a low power consumption, in relation to Intel's CPU competitors.

Da best
For anyone wanting this if you're already on this socket. Don't if you have a 7800x3d. Not needed really. Plus there's a chance of zen6 potentially named 10800x3d to come out on this same socket. (update your bios)I'm on a x670 gigabyte board. Remember to update your bios if its the ones that came out on the 7000 series. Its easy to do. Also the only negative is my own fault. Certain motherboard can OC this cpu better or at least have more options. Async/ ECLK. It should say one or the other for a feature on motherboards. Most x870s have it. Asus, Asrock taichi, and maybe the gigabyte masters. Anyways, you can still offset +200mhz oc it with a nice curve using PBO. My cpu stays cool and stable with a -20 offset curve. Some can hit up to -40. I've tried -30 with benchmarks but it does want to stay constant 5425 and it dips in performance. More like it spikes down when it hits it because of how the voltage is working for it. No crashes tho at -30.I do recommend this. Never scalp or buy scalp. This has been out long enough that this cpu isn't that expensive at scalp prices so its not even worth it for them. Just wait a few days and this thing does go into stock quite a bit. 10/10 cpuother: For ram, do 1:1 mode. Its more stable for me with this cpu. You can also tighten timings more too. That could be because of the updated bios. My ram was 6400mhz 32cl, I changed it to 6000mhz 28cl, I cant remember my other timings but in short. It helps with 1% lows for me. It took some weeks of testing for my setup. I hope this helps you.

Best gaming CPU available.
To repeat just about everyone at this time this is the best gaming cpu you can purchase. With that said I have purchased two of them for different systems both worked perfectly from the initial boot up, and have been running great since installed very shortly after their release

Sorry Intel
I have been an Intel CPU gamer for several decades, until recently. In the last 4 years I purchased two prebuilts, an HP Omen 30L I purchased directly from Amazon with an i9-10850K CPU and an Alienware Aurora R10 Ryzen 3800X from Dell. I find the Aurora to this day to crank out some good performance whether in 1080P or 1440P. The Ryzen runs much cooler than the i9 from Intel.I decided to go with the 9800X3D because I play Microsoft Flight Simulator and the Ryzen X3D CPU's are better suited for Microsoft's Flight Sim. I was seriously considering another HP Omen and Alienware Area 51 prebuilt with the Ultra9 and thought better of it and decided to go with AMD's CPU instead.

Best in Class
9800x3d is excellent in every way, runs cooler and is a solid gaming experience. Coming from a 7600x using a 9070xt, the biggest benefit i noticed was in 1 percent lows. Absolute massive boost in that area. Avg fps saw a boost to but 1 percent lows was a impressive uplift.
