Beautiful product!! Well worth the price!
We had been looking for outdoor led lighting for weeks before this purchase. Initially, we were going to purchase the $5/light option at a local hardware store, but are incredibly elated that we waited. There are two lights in each box with packaging that protected all 8 lights with NO damage. Removing the plastic spikes and installing them first (with a hammer) then connected the lights to the base is the best option, This prevents damage to the lights during installation. The lighting provides a low light ambiance that we were looking for. Using them for path lights may not be the best idea as the light is rather dim. However, if you are looking for a more decorative approach, these are a great choice. I emailed the seller before purchase and they offer a 30 day warranty (which is the reason for 4 stars versus 5). For the price, I'd expect a year warranty at the least. If anyone is interested in photos I would be happy to provide them. (we've been getting a TON of rain so I'm going to wait to submit pics- based on demand).

I really wanted to like them, and I do
Tough to rate these. I really wanted to like them, and I do, but there are some considerations.1.) These are made with glass for the light area. This was a plus for me, I didn't want junky plastic ones that yellow in UV rays and become brittle then break. The glass is pretty substantial and adds to the higher quality of this item.2.) The body of the light does appear to be stainless steel. It's sheet metal that's been rolled formed and welded. The inside weld is visible, but the outside weld has been satisfactorily cleaned up, but I still put this part towards my home, so it's not visible. One issue and -1 star, is the part of the s.s. tube that touches the glass, there is visible rust. S.S. should never rust, so I'm suspect on the quality of the steel. They haven't gotten any worse being outside for the past month. I also live in Oregon, where it rains 6 months straight, so I'll really be putting these to the test.3.) The color temperature of these is probably about 4000k. They are similar to some outdoor fence lighting I bought that is listed at 4000k. This color is white; not yellow (like an old incandescent) and not "blue" (like high-output daylight bulbs). I love the 4000k, it's perfectly in between.4.) There is one LED that emits the light, I'd guess about 2 lumens. It's not super bright, but I have no street lighting, so these do a good job of defining the edge of my hard to the driveway. They illuminate about 12-18" out from the light, so about a 24"-36" diameter of light. It won't be bright light to see detail, but it's sufficient for me. I have them spaced 36" apart, so the light from each forms a tangency.5.) The battery is a no-name rechargeable, AA-sized 400mAH nickel metal hydride. I inserted a fully charged Eneloop (1,900mAH) just to see how that would work. It increased the brightness by a good amount, but not sure if the LED is capable of handling that amount of power for any extended amount of time. But good observation.6.) The base is another -1 start and others have talked about this. I figured some reviewers weren't sure on how to deal with the base, but I was wrong; they were spot on. The base is flimsy. The spike is included in the body of the light, you remove a piece of plastic at the bottom to initially take out the spike. You then replace the bottom plastic piece into the light and insert the spike. When trying to push this into the ground, the spike is very thin and so is the bottom plastic piece that the spike inserts to. I had the bottom plastic piece crack on two of my eight lights. A little super glue fixed that, but this was annoying considering the high quality of the rest of the product. Also, the spike is only about 2" long, which isn't sufficient enough length for the length of the top of the light, or the weight. It should be 3" long. It took a little bit of time to get these nice and plum; I had to stuff the mulch under the light to keep them perfectly erect. They did however, not budge much in a recent typhoon with winds of about 40-50mph.7.) I've had no issues with them charging during the day and working at night. When I received them, I pulled out the battery tabs and let them sit in my garage overnight to drain the battery. At about 10am the next morning, I installed them and let them charge during the day (~9 hours) of cloudy weather. They worked that night but I went to bed about 10pm, 2 hours after sunset so not sure how long they lasted. They've worked for 1 month no without issue. So, overall there are many aspects I like about these. I can get over the spikes issue if I had to by going to my local big box and finding something to use in their place. Maybe some 1.5" pvc pipe or something? The rust I see forming is my major concern right now and will have to keep an eye out over another month to see if it gets worse.I mostly recommend these, more so if you live in the south; or a dryer climate for the rusting. Good luck on the stake issue.

Average
Overall look and feel is nice but after close inspection, these aren't as "hefty" as they appear. The body is made of very, very thin aluminum sheet, wrapped around plastic. Other plastic parts at the base and the cap that holds the LED+electronics are very thin as well. Only part that appears to be good quality part is the solar panels, with glass plate on top. Brightness is just average. Nothing impressive. Glass globe appears to be good quality as well. I can tell the advertising picture they used is exaggerated. It's not that bright or warm.Out of the 8 lights, 1 light did not function. It just didn't turn on. Thought I placed in a spot that didn't get enough sun light during the day so I swapped the position with another light that works. But still didn't work. Contacted seller but the response was to go through Amazon since they did not fulfill the order. Decided to open up the broken light and discovered one of the wires lost it's soldering connection. So I re-soldered it and fixed! I would not order any more of these as I can tell they won't last long.

Unuseable flimsy mounting system
These are very nice outdoor lights from the ground up. The problem is the mounting system is so flimsy that I cannot recommend them. The metal housing and glass where the bulb is located seems to be high quality. However, the plastic ring that is inserted in the base of the light that fits over the plastic spike that you place in the ground is made of very thin plastic. I have broken several of these rings and once one is broken, you have no way to mount the light. They manufacturer needs to upgrade the thickness of the plastic used to make the mounting ring, or better yet, make it out of metal. Until they do so, do not buy these lights. They will only frustrate and disappoint you.

One of the lights stopped working after 6 weeks
These path lights are heavier and thicker than ones you might get for $3 each at Walmart. But the stakes they use are just as flimsy - 4 inch plastic inserts. You can still work with them though. And I really wanted to like this product. The biggest problem I had was one of the lights stopped working after about 6 weeks. I contacted customer service and tried their suggestions including switching batteries with a good unit. To no avail however. I believe there is a problem with the circuitry of this faulty unit where the light remains partially on even when the solar cell is receiving a lot of light. Thus it never really rests and the battery can't charge.I asked for a replacement but it was outside of the 30 day refund period and customer service told me to contact amazon warehouse. Nothing came of that either. So I'm left... disappointed.

Returned. Too shiny. Too flimsy, the spike ...
Returned. Too shiny. Too flimsy, the spike isn’t long enough to support the size of the bollards. The tops don’t snap or screw on tightly. Light not bright at all either.

Three Stars
Very attractive lights but some don't hold a bright light and some just don't work.

Don’t bother buying this! Broke in less than a year!
These stopped working in less than a year since purchased and it’s definitwly not from lack of sun exposed because we get plenty of sun in front of our house.

Good lights; made of plastic
The solar lights work well, but the stem that holds them into the ground broke immediately (it's plastic).

Pretty But Faulty
I really love the look of these. We are in a modern home with copper accents. I have ordered these lights over the last two years and have been replacing them every 3 to 6 months...
