Monopoly Pink Boutique Edition

I bought this for my partners birthday as she loves all things pink and Monopoly! I was very surprised and impressed when the set arrived.I thought it was just going to be a pink monopoly game in the usual box with a few themed pieces. However the set arrived in a heavy box, part clear showing the box inside, which is actually a pink flocked jewellery/ make up box which opens with a mirror inside, and contains the game beneath. the pieces are themed around chihuahuas, mobile phones, and for some reason, a skateboard (which is my piece of course)!The board tiles are named in a swirling italic as things like 'pink palace' and the community chest/ chance cards are now 'instant messages' - so quite heavily clichéd, but that's what you expect buying a pink themed game and it benefits from the attention to detail!Overall I was very impressed as this is a brilliant item for the price you pay and my partner loves it. This is definitely a step up from some of the cheaper looking themed monopoly boards you can buy.

my grandchildren and i played this for the first time on sunday and we all thought it was brilliant well worth the money the presentation box alone was first class and im sure we will spend many more happy hours playing it

The game is the same with different playing pieces. The packaging is very expensive - your paying for the box NOT the game!

Monopoly is, and has been for years, a fun game for all the family to enjoy, giving children the opportunity to learn and develop maths skills and role play. This monstrosity is utterly insulting to girls, implying they cannot be interested in anything unless it's a sickly pink colour and focuses on their physical appearance. And presumably boys are not "supposed" to play this edition, so genders are segregated. This is nothing more than a cynical marketing ploy to attempt to force parents to buy several editions of the same game. Very disappointing.

Box is a bit dirty

bought 2 for grand-daughters they are so lovely and great fun with boutiques for sale etc the girls love them and what a lovely box/case it is a great item buy one if you can get hold of one

I have to say I was apprehensive when I first saw this coming out. "Women, being given the opportunity to make financial deicisions? Surely not!", I thought to myself. However, now that I've seen it, and realise that it involves purchasing hair salons and other female-type things, I'm really impressed. Now they don't need to play my real Monopoly, and always choosing the car token, trying to buy railway stations and electric companies. Producing a product, aimed at girls of 8 years and above, ensuring that they're being told from an early age that they should be buying pink goods, and only interested in beauty salons, ensures that the pointless tradition of equality that's been embraced for decades can be thrown out, and ensuring that girls know what their own toys and games are, rather than attempting to play football with the boys, creates a much safer environment for everyone.Thanks very much to Hasbro for this fine product. Hopefully next time they produce a range of pink Transformers which change into hairdryers and straighteners, or perhaps a version of Cluedo for girls where the players have to work out who committed the fashion faux pas, what they were wearing, and which valuable member of society (i.e. which male) they were leeching from in order to be there.

Did have a problem to begin with as the product was not received. As it happened the fault was with the Post Office and the issuing Company were very helpful in getting another sent to me. I had to tell my elder granddaughter that her birthday present would be a little late because the Post Office can't read.

My daughter saw this set at a toy store in another city and we were unable to find it again. After searching for 2 years, I found it here, and surprised her with it for her birthday. It's just the cutest set! Brand new, the storage box is padded and very nice. Everything fits neatly in its own little compartment inside. Cute little 'girlie' playing pieces. It was worth the price and the shipping was very reasonable. OH YEAH! Speaking of the shipping: these guys shipped this thing out super FAST! Almost caught me off-guard! I had to rush to hide it, since there were still a few days to go until my daughter's birthday came around. EXCELLENT SERVICE!

My family and I have used this game time and time again. I even had to buy one for a family member because I could not let go if this game piece. It's color us gorgeous. Nice setup inside. Very suffisicated looking. We take great care of it. Love, love, love it. Thanks.

My girlfriend collects Monopoly games and this pink version is perfect. The box is wonderfully made and very good quality. I strongly recommend this to anyone with a girl who loves pink girly things.

I bought this item for my niece's 11th birthday and she loves it! Everything comes in a nice pink box with slots inside for holding the cards, dice, pawns, etc. We have played it several times and it is lots of fun...especially the shorter, timed version. My nephews (ages 12 & 16) even love playing it even though it is very girlie. It is educational in that you have to read the "instant texting" and "instant messaging" cards and the property names & values. It also teaches the value of money. I would definitely recommend this item for anyone looking for a gift for a girl between the ages of 8 on up. It's a no brainer at this price!

This was bought as a Christmas gift for my daughter who is a "pink" everything girl. Well, upon unwrapping the gift and seeing it was not just a plain monopoly but a pink version, made it one of her favorite gifts. She loves playing it with her friends - who also love it being pink!
