I was a little sceptical at first as it is quite a cheap item, but upon receiving this, I have to say it does its job well and is a well built product. I used this to check a few plugs in a newly built shed and kitchen. It did find one fault where a neutral had come loose when refitting the sockets after decorating and was fixed and tested again for a correct sign from the device. It's easy to read and even easier to use. The RCD test button is a nice touch allowing me to make sure that if my shed sockets should get overloaded that the consumer unit fitted will do its job and trip off.

I thought that my test plug had gone missing so I bought this. Very well made and a very good price. It works perfectly and I'm glad that I bought it. The only thing is that I found my existing one. But now I have a spare one. Glad that I bought it.

Excellent piece of kit. LCD display is invaluable as it shows voltage being delivered (amongst other readings) so you can check appliances are receiving Indicated L/G reverse, but the fault was actually missing G. L/G reverse is a common indication though for this fault, but I knew this and located the missing G on the circuit. Would give 5 stars but as others have said the LED configuration for CORRECT socket wiring is just the 2 left hand LEDs, so you're not sure if the 3rd LED might be faulty (all 3 LEDS lit = L/V reverse + missing GRD).

Having re-wired an extension lead myself, I thought it prudent to check that it was safe to use. This product confirmed that I had carried out that task correctly and it will be useful item to have for future similar tasks. Not too expensive either. Another use will be to determine the voltage of our mains supply. (We live in a village). Sometimes our lights seem a bit dim and the kettle is slower to boil. Just plug this in and the voltage is shown instantly.

Great little DIY’ers tool. Installed a spur and this offered the confidence the wiring was correct.

Worked well. Indications are correct and voltage measure seems to be accurate.

Great little device. Finds a range of possible faults on electrical circuits as well as showing the supply voltage. Quick and simple to use. Great value for money.

Great product but lacking a rest result tone; this would be handy when the consumer unit is in a different area to the socket. Just an idea... Easy to use, compact design and wide functionality.
