Heavy duty attachment
Love this thing. Got a basic lat pulldown for my home gym and the pulldown bar it came with was lackluster. Got this thing and it's perfect. It's heavy duty and neutral hand position is great. The other hand position options are great as well. Glad I got this.

Gym stuff
A nice multi grip lat bar for your gym equipment. And the bar is 32" The same length as the other big bars that look a like.

Great but could be wider, good grip. A little expensive

Awesome Bar
I'll start this with the obvious - the cost. This bar costs more than the similar MAG bar. That's a tall order considering how many complaints there are about the cost of the MAG bars/handles. I'd have a hard time recommending it at this price if all you want to do is some lat pulldowns with a MAG clone - you can buy entire multi-length sets for this price. In this case, though, for my purposes, I'd easily pay half-again as much for this bar and have *ZERO* reservation recommending it as a 5-star-bar for those uses. I have found it uniquely awesome for prehab/rehab work in a way no other bar I have used has been. I'll explain.Years or jits and heavy lifting have led to multiple shoulder surgeries - yay! While I have been a good boy and have done all of the PT and all of the usual ROM recovery, plus a ton more, there are still some lingering issues I deal with. I do dead hang work and active hang work regularly - bars, rings, etc. This is good stuff, but I've never been able to get as much of the active work in as I want to because decades of powerlifting have left me with the kind of large, heavy legs and "posterior chain" that you don't see featured on most pullup bar gymnastics folks. Enter the MOST GRIP.I have tried many different pulldown bars to simulate the same stretch I get when actually hanging, and to mimic the active hanging exercises I'd like to actually do on a bar, but so far they have all come up short. TBH I can't even explain what makes the MOST GRIP different in that respect, but it is remarkably more effective. I load enough plates on the stack to traction my shoulders (around 100 lbs, usually) and start with the wide grip and run through some slow, full range pulls (remember, this is mobility and rehab/prehab stuff, not the main event). I then do a few sets of 20 "hanging shrugs" or "seesaws" where my arms are fully extended and I'm just retracting my shoulders or scaps in tandem or one at a time. This is about the same an I get with most bars, but the angle of the grips and the grip handles themselves are very comfortable for me, so that's a plus. I then move to the outer pair of parallel grips and run through the same motions with both pronated and supinated grip - this produces just enough of just the right amount of stretch in my shoulder capsules (and in my elbows) to be effective without being overtaxing. I then move to the inner parallel handles and run through the whole thing again. Sometimes after that I'll add weight and run another full circuit, sometimes not.Keep in mind, this is stuff I have been doing for years at this point - with a pulley, rope, and free-hanging loading pin back in the day, and with a full plate-loaded cable setup these days. I have been having fairly serious problems with painful scaption and impingement in my left shoulder for months - I was honestly wondering if I was looking at another surgery. A few weeks of using this specific bar and I have reduced the pain and clicking/snapping in my shoulder significantly, while also helping with some associated elbow tendonitis. Tasks that were a genuine problem 8 weeks ago are no longer even a concern at this point - putting heavier items on top shelves, for instance. Again, I have no idea why this bar produces the effect it does when others - several others - don't. I mean, they work, but nowhere near as well. I'm assuming it has to do with the shape and heft of the bar, but I really don't know - I just know that I noticed it immediately after the first session trying this bar out. I was significantly more sore in that kind-of-nervy way that only genuine post-surgery PT makes you.As for the bar itself, if you have ever used a MAG bar, or one of its many clones, you know pretty much what to expect with this bar. Some are better, some are worse, but they all share some basic similar traits. This particular one is well built and is heavy duty, though. They used a serious gauge of metal to make this bar, and the coating is just the right amount of grippy and it is well applied. No bare spots or flappers at all on the bar I received.

Heavy duty and works well
I've done a few workouts with this so far. And as a man with relatively wide shoulders I find the length of the bar to be just about right. Grip cover over the bar still holding up quite well on it too, and feels it will last a long while. Great for a more neutral grip on rows or pulldowns. I mainly use it when doing cable rows to give the middle back more emphasis than you otherwise get with normal grip/supinated.The versatility of the different grips is really nice too. As the gym I would normally go to tends to have the bars with just one grip but this having 3 works great for better variety in my home gym so I don't need as many bars. Which is a major plus, and def makes it a stronger buy than other neutral grip bars. Price seems pretty fair and competitive for what you are getting. As the quality is also very high compared to what I've used in the past too. You will not run into any real limitations when it comes to durability and weights with this bar too. Built thick and strong, I imagine it will last a long time too

This thing is a BEAST!
The Mag Grip Lat pulldown bar is a BEAST!Well made, Super solid piece of equipment. This thing is built to last, when I opened the box, I realized it was heavy, no doubt. It is made of what would appear to be steel, it has a very thick rubber coating. It has three separate grip positions making it quite versatile on my lat machine attachment. (see pics)I already have a couple of different lat bars, but this one is the coolest looking and most useful by far. The grips, in my opinion, make this a keeper. They fit my hands perfect and comfortably, I was curious to see how it would work in the real world [my home gym]. It has now become my favorite attachment when I’m doing some lat work. The grips are designed in such a way it makes it really easy to hold onto it, I have some trigger finger issues, and this grip doesn't cause any pain to occur like my regular lat bars do.The only thing I did not test was using it like a curl bar, mainly because I have a set of dumbbells and a couple of Olympic curl bars already for those exercises. I must say, you gotta get the Mag Grip Lat bar for your home gym, it's a game changer. My hope is that my review will help you make a sound and informed purchasing decision.God bless,Pastor/Personal TrainerMichael R
