New Direction Tackle 1* Bite Alarm K9 with Red Snag Ears And Red Rubber Case For Carp Fishing

I purchased a pair of K9's a year ago and they have been working very hard on the lakeside when fishing for carp.They are a great piece of kit and to be honest there is nothing more that you need on a bite alarm. One particular function though demands a mention. That is that by the press of a button you can disable the alarm while you set your rod up. That stops all those annoying bleeps while you adjust everything. And it automatically comes back on after 30 seconds. With other indicators that I have owned I have occasionally forgotten to switch the alarm back on.On the last day of the guarantee period one of my units developed a fault so I reported it to New Direction Tackle by email. They suggested various options to try and fix the problem, but when these did not work they then asked that I return the unit to them so they could check it out, and within a day of receipt they offered me a replacement.The whole process was easy and emails were responded to the same day.That is excellent customer service.Thanks to the team and well done.

i bought my alarms individually, as the sets of 4 were out of stock at the time i decided to buy them. i cannot fault them. the night light works so you are able to see them directly. i tend to use all of a swim so do not necessarily use a pod. i use the highest sensitivity as i want to know exactly whats happening on the lake. the sound is fully adjustable so each can be set to your own requirements. used along with the bite alarm and blue toothed to your phone its an excellent setup

Not good. Designed badly where the line touches the roller. Line catches on the plastic casing when striking when a fish does a drop bite when the weighted bobbin drops. Lost many a good fish with this bite alarm. I have a set of bite alarms that cost the same as one of these alarms and have never had this problem of line snagging on the alarm. Not sure what to do with it now...send it back or send it into the lake.

They fell apart within two weeks tried to get replacement parts waste of time
