Defective
I attempted to fit this on my boat a few weeks after arrival. Not working and the seller refuses to replace as it is outside the one month Amazon return period. Don’t buy

Inexpensive receiver with a lot of good features.
Pyle Marine receiver. This inexpensive receiver has a lot of good features. Here are some comments. The Bluetooth connects very well and automatically plays your last streaming station. Pause, play and skip song work through the receiver's Bluetooth as well. The digital tuner does a good job of grabbing some far away stations and playing them without static. It puts out plenty of power to my 5-1/4 in speakers and will play louder than I want to hear it. I think this is a very nice receiver for the price I paid. I suppose if I were able to do a side-by-side comparison with a more expensive unit I might find some differences. But out on the lake in my pontoon boat listening to music on the Pyle sounds just fine to me and is a big improvement over the original unit in the boat that still had a cassette player. The installation was a little tricky as I'm not a pro. At first the unit would not power up and I was planning to return it because I thought it was DOA. Then I learned that in addition to power and ground there is a little red accessory wire that must also be connected to power either through ignition or accessory switch. Once I did that everything was fine. I wonder if this is the same situation some other reviewers have encountered that said their unit wouldn't work. The installation instructions are a little sketchy for a novice and could have been more helpful to save the company some unnecessary returns and bad reviews. The wiring harness is very cheap and could be improved with better wires. I had a little trouble connecting my new 16 gauge copper speaker wires to the crappy 22 gauge aluminum wires on the harness as the harness wires were brittle and kept breaking in the crimp connector. I eventually solved this by twisting the wires together the old fashioned way and using the crimp connector as a cap over the twisted wires rather than a bridge between them as it is designed for. The harness wires are only about 6 in long. You can't redo them too many times before you get in trouble and don't have any wire left so be careful. The display is not as bright as I hoped it would be and is a little tough to see on a sunny day. The remote control is infrared not RF. So you have to point it right at the receiver in order to get it to work. I'm not so sure I understand the benefit of controlling the unit with a remote when I am sitting right at the console. So I tossed the remote in the glove box and it will probably stay there for a long time. I'm not sure why but the Pyle instructions say that the unit should be setting level for best result, but my console panel is angled down. It seems to be working fine so I'm going to leave it alone. I'm not going to mess around trying to put in an angled bezel unless it gives me trouble. I like the unit a lot but I can't give it five stars because of the cheap wires on the harness.
