Very Pleased for the Price
For the price these work great. You should invest in some extra foam mic windscreens, and some ear bud covers. I did buy another single unit to allow four crew members to communicate. There were no instructions, but I found some to get me started. I created some more to share...Pairing instructions (one V4 to two V6):1) Press and hold motorcycle button on V4 and V6-1 until both turn on2) Hold motorcycle on V6-1 until V6 flashes red/blue.3) Press and hold “A” on V4 until it flashes blue/red4) Press motorcycle again on V6-1 – it will flash blue5) When V4 flashes blue, press V6-1 motorcycle button again – both units will flash in sync6) Turn off V4 and V6-17) Press and hold motorcycle on V4 and V6-2 until both turn on.8) While holding motorcycle on V6-2, press and hold “B” on V4 until both flash blue and red9) Press motorcycle on V6-210) When both flash blue, press motorcycle on V6-2 again11) Turn on V6-1 – all three units will sync.Pairing Instructions (two V4 and two V6):1) Press and hold motorcycle button on first V4 and V6 until both turn on (referenced as V4-1 and V6-1).2) Hold motorcycle on V6-1 until V6-1 flashes red/blue.3) Press and hold “A” on V4-1 until it flashes blue/red4) Press motorcycle again on V6-1 – it will flash blue5) When V4 flashes blue, press V6-1 motorcycle button again – both units will flash in sync6) Turn off V4 and V6 units.7) Repeat steps 1-6 for second V4-2 and V6-2 units.8) Turn on and V4-1 and V4-2 units.9) Press and hold "B" button on both units until each flashes blue and red.10) Press "B" again on only the V4-1 unit. The LED flashes blue.11) Once the other V4-2 unit's LED flashes blue, Press "B" one last time.12) When the two V4 units' LED lights flash in synchronization (or close), the units are paired.13) Turn off all units.14) Turn each unit on, one at a time, allowing about 10-15 seconds to reestablish links with the other units.

Once you learn how to quickly pair, they are a great addition to your referee kit
I received three v4 headsets (Previously, I think the pack of 3 came with a mix of v4 and v6 headsets)I am sharing all of my lessons learned to help my fellow referees out there:First, you should watch the official pairing video for the three v4 receivers scenario on YouTube.(Amazon won't let me post the link)Watch it VERY carefully - there are a few steps in the video that are not in the instructions that make all the difference.Specific instructions (I call them R1, R2, and R3 for the instructions here, but doesn't matter if the devices switch around across days) - (Headsets do not need to be attached during pairing):- Turn on R1 and R2 by pressing and holding the motorcycle button- DELETE any previous programming by pressing and holding the A and B buttons at the same time for a few seconds - the light will change frequency to show that previous programming was deleted- Turn R1 and R2 off- Turn R1 and R2 on again. Press and hold the A button on both receivers until they both go into rapid blink mode.- On Receiver 2 (important that it is Receiver 2!!), press the A button once - hold it close to R1 and WAIT until the R1 and R2 lights change their pulsing and seem to be aligned.- On Receiver 2 (again, important!), press the A button once AGAIN. Wait for the lights on R1 and R2 to change their pulsing to signal the connection.- Turn off R2- Keep R1 on and put it to the side- Turn on R3 - Press A and B buttons at the same time for a few seconds to delete any previous programming. Once cleared, turn off R3.- Turn on both R2 and R3 by pressing the motorcycle button.- Press and hold the B button on both receivers until they blink rapidly.- Then, on Receiver 2 (!!), press the B button once. Wait for the blinking lights on both to get aligned (they will both turn solid at the same time, then start pulsing at about the same frequency)- On Receiver 2 (!!), Press the B button once AGAIN - wait for the lights to change to show alignment with R3- Finally, pick up R1 (this is important) and press the A button once. Wait a few seconds until the lights pause and seem to be aligned.- You can then insert the headset wire and test.Bottom line: Most of the "extra" channel pairing presses are on Receiver 2.I have heard that pairing before each use wasn't necessary, but I have not been able to figure that out - so, I just have to go through the pairing process before each game. Also, for foam replacement covers, I found that these two items work:- Microphone Cover: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B6KMDU8- Earpiece cover: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005OEA2QOAnd I also use this case: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0170RIRVY(the 12" option)I prefer to put the receiver into one of my shirt pockets - put the blinking light inward facing.I use medical tape to keep the boom close to my cheek. To mute at halftime, I recommend just unhooking the headset wire instead of pressing any buttons. Finally, in terms of battery life, I think about 4 hours is the max (i.e. right around two games)

Great soccer referee commo system
just wanted to follow up. I had one of the V6 units stop working. I asked for help and was given an address (very long address) to mail the unit back. I was not sure I was going to get a replacement but today my new unit arrived fully working and ready for the spring season. It took about 2 months for the new unit to arrive but they came through. Lets see if I can make it through the spring season! I have increased the rating to 5 starts for now.I have used the system in 10 games over the past several weeks. I only had to fully sync one time. However, be sure to give time during your pre-game to test that everyone can hear each other. I have found that if you do lose a member of the team, if they just press the motorcycle button they return. I have done a 3 game set (over 6 hours) without any issues. Communication is clear and extremely helpful as I can watch the play and not look for a flag or subs. It really eliminates any confusion and the ability to pass information to coaches. It is also helpful to communicate with some of the new referees. I can easily say, "you need to move to the second to last defender" or just check on how they are doing. It would have been a 5-star if one of the ear holders did not break. The cord is very long. I taped over half of it up.
