This sure beats cutting a hole in my door! Great quality. The frame is metal, the sides are glass, and the door is sturdy plastic. Not that flimsy plastic on most pet doors.My cats have never used a pet door so it did take time and patience to get them used to it. The magnet to hold it shut was a little strong (ans it should be) and made them apprehensive. BUT I spent time with them holding the door fully open as they went out, and then letting it touch their back as they went out, and then letting it touch their neck. Once they got used to the feel of it, they got brave enough to do on their own and now they bound through. Game changer.One drawback is the “presents” they can now bring straight to me. 😳

I can’t believe how easy this is to install. Literally took minutes! My cats use it from my upstairs window when they don’t want to go downstairs and deal with the new dog. The only change I recommend is to put something in front of the clear side areas. My cat got frustrated trying to get through the side areas because they didn’t look any different to him than the actual door. He thought I had locked him out or that the door only went one way. I just put something solid on each side on the window sill until he got the hang of it.

I prefer diy-ing anything that i can, but i have zero regrets with this purchase. The fit is snug, installation was super simple, and I have seen no risk of damage to our (newly replaced) windows.Five stars for- heavy duty materials that are manufactured well. I had been concerned about how much sound/weather would be blocked. Even with the flap edge barely brushing, all the other places as sealed so well i hear and feel a big difference when i have the window raised and when i lower the window into place.Installation "tip"- dont have a heart attack if the side pieces are too big "by that much". I was able to remove the end caps and the spring walls slid beautifully into place. I will go file down their sides so i can fit them into place and protect the spring bolt ends.For weather stripping, i chose to incorperate the locks rather than leave large gaps like they showed on the instructions. This way weather and bugs wont wander in.Four stars for- acrylic door is already starting to show scratches after a half hour of use, having to modify the frame slightly, but in a way i will have to make some other n modifications to protect the spring assembly from exposure.

Amazing!! This is a game changer. It was an easy instal, granted the directions fail to tell you to remove the caps on the edges. But once you do it’s pretty simple to set up. My cat picked up how to use it in just two days!! Also being able to control which way it opens it’s really helpful.*Only negatives is that it fits the screen area only. Meaning that if I had A/C or heat running I would lose ALOT of it if my window was open partially to accommodate it. But luckily you can still open and close the window panel itself. *Disclaimer it may be just my style of window.

I like this insert and it should work well for my fur baby except she feels she needs a bigger opening to go thru so as an older cat she is pretty set in her way. She goes to it to go out but I have to shove her thru and she will not come back thru, she will go to the door and get your attention to open the door so she can get thru without anything touching her. It seals very nicely and is very sturdy. I would reccomend it for anyone starting with a younger cat.

It fit in my window great however if you have an escape artist cat this will not work. The flap that comes up on the locking mechanism is a thin one inch piece of plastic on the bottom only and my cat broke it the first day making it pretty much useless. Disappointed.Update: Seller reached out with possible solutions/offered refund (it’s not their fault my cat is Houdini reincarnated) and will look into the product design.

This pet door was the easiest thing I've ever installed! The quality is outstanding. Currently training our cat on how to use it. Looks great in our window.

This worked really well as a way for our cat to get outside to her catio. She learned how to use the two-way swinging door really fast.
