No, thank you.
This was a very short read and the plot was equally reduced. The storyline is so simplistic that I have my difficulties to put it into words. Anyway..., Retired Navy Commander Greg Lambert, a widower around 50 is presented with a second chance in his life. After losing his wife to cancer, he meets Sheridan, the bartender at the place he visits to wind down. They decide to act on the pull they feel for each other and soon their lives change. What can I say? I definitely expected more. I know, I know - it’s a novella! However, this was more like a chapter from a novel than a standalone novella. I also missed the depth. More specifically, the main characters were a bit maturer and I expected this to be reflected in their actions and dialogues. Needless to say that I was surprised when I reached the end of the book. It was so abrupt..... No, can’t really recommend this one. Maybe had I read the rest of the series?

So anticipated... so anticlimactic
Sure, its a novella but really? The sleeper seals were such an exquisite series of stories and to go from that to this. I'm seriously disappointed. Commander Lambert needed his own epic villain and battle. FFS, he's fifty, not elderly. I've never wanted my money back following a Susan Stoker book before until now. This will never be on my reread list and I'd honestly like to forget I ever read it. The best thing that could happen here would be if Sher turned into a bounce back and a move on to free up the man for a bigger battle and epic love story... until then i can dream. To be honest, I very nearly gave this one star, two was a kindness because I respect and admire Susan Stoker.

complete waste of time
this wasn't a novella, it wasn't even a short story. it was a sex scene sandwiched between a little internal dialogue. I expected there to be an actual story! The hero was able to play a little hero, but it was short and no ramifications, totally different than any of the stoker books i've read at all.i read the first book of the series, so i already had a short introduction to lambert, but didn't read any other books in the series. i haven't a clue if the heroine is explored in those at all, but she certainly wasn't any more than slightly introduced in these few paragraphs.glad it was free. that's more than it's worth.

short, sexy and sassy
LAMBERT’S LADY by Susan Stoker is the thirteenth and final instalment in the multi-authored, contemporary, adult SLEEPER SEALs erotic, military suspense series focusing on a group of current and former Navy SEALS. This is fifty year old, retired US Navy Commander and Ghost Ops leader Greg Lambert, and bartender Sheridan Temple’s story line. LAMBERT’S LADY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.Told from dual third person perspectives (Greg and Sheridan) LAMBERT’S LADY follows the quick building relationship between fifty year old, retired US Navy Commander and Ghost Ops leader Greg Lambert, and bartender Sheridan Temple. Greg Lambert’s job is done now that the twelfth and final SEAL reported in from the final mission, and our hero struggles with the loneliness brought about by the death of his beloved wife, five years earlier. Greg Lambert finds himself fantasizing about bartender Sheridan Temple, a much younger woman but a woman that calls to his heart. What ensues is the very quick friends to lovers to happily ever after between Greg and Sheridan.LAMBERT’S LADY is approximately three chapters in length that focuses on the highly sexual relationship between our leading couple. We know very little about our heroine’s past as the author focuses on Greg Lambert’s love for his wife Karen, and his need for the woman at the local bar. The premise is provocative; the romance is intimate and passionate; the characters are colorful and sassy.

Expected more...
This is definitely a novella. As this was my first taste of this series I had hoped to be drawn into the series more but it was more of a wrapping-things-up-at-the-end-of-a-book than a true stand alone. Nothing made me want to run out and buy the rest of the set and settle in for a nice long read, but that is more of a marketing decision than a story decision. If you've read the rest of the series, yes read this one too, just to close out the story line. If you are looking for a new series, start with one of the other books in this series or choose something else.

The commander finally gets his HEA!
Retired Navy Commander Greg Lambert, the head of a ghost-ops project created to combat terrorists on American soil, longs to settle down after his men complete twelve successful missions. He sets his eyes on Sheridan, the bartender at the bar he frequents. Sheridan, of course, was the only woman who has managed to catch his heart years after his wife passed away from cancer.I am glad that Susan Stoker closed out the Sleeper Seals series with a HEA for Lambert, who definitely deserved for his own story to be told. Susan Stoker gave her characters a worthy performance, as usual, and that's reason enough for me to never get tired of her military stories. If you are a fan of stories about men in uniform, I would encourage you to go ahead and dive into this author's world. I swear you won't regret it!

Super short and basically no plot
I realize this is a short story, but there is basically no plot. I was hoping for at least a little...something! Of the 122 pages, mayyybe 20 pages were the story, and the rest were previews or notes from the author. Definitely doesn't make me want to read more of this series, which is disappointing since it seems to feature some good authors.

She's written better
There was almost no plot, no character development and a really raunchy sex scene that put me off. The author has written better but the one star was for the fact that 60% of the book is filler and samples of other books. That's what a newsletter is for. Not an actual book. I used to pre-order Susan Stoker's books but she's now with the wait and see group of authors. Very disappointed.

Fantastic finish to an amazing series!
Having read the whole Sleeper SEAL's series and seen Greg support each and every one of them as they have fought hidden enemies, fought their own demons and fought falling in love, it is heart warming to see him also find love again. Yes, leading the Sleeper SEAL's has given him focus and helped him through the death of his wife, but now he is finally retiring, again, and Sheridan is just the woman for him. She has stole his heart the first time he saw her but now he is finally in a position to offer all of himself....exactly as she deserves. This may be a novella but it is just as hot and steamy as the rest of the series and is a perfect end to the series.

A nice ending to the series.
A very short story giving Greg Lambert the chance to find his very own happy ever after... This is really only a few chapters worth of story but it manages to round out the series nicely.

Well written but too short
The writing was good but not enough happened in the story. I felt it was over as soon as it started.

Okay, but way too short. I thought the hero deserved a better book than this.

great read
Loved the story line looking at older people and their coming late to finding their soul mates and no matter if you think even if you are retired you still have a purpose in life
