Pros: Mist is better than drip - Healthiest roots of any hydroponic pod system I've tried. You can actually set the timer - other systems have a built in pre-set timer you can't change.Cons: the telescoping led lights can't be set very low which may result in leggy seedlings for some varieties of plants - others I've tried go all the way down to the base.I've tried like 4 different hydroponic pod systems. Where others use a drip system this one uses a misting system.I've found that when using drip hydroponic pod setups that the roots still dry out above the waterline especially when you get low on water. They often turned brown or yellow and brittle.This mist system keeps the roots moist even above the waterline. As you can see in the pictures the roots are plump and all white. This picture was taken right after running out of water and there was less than a cm left.The main con with the system is that the lights are too far away from the base. As you can see in the picture my dill is a bit leggy. I possibly could have set my lights stronger, but I normally set my lights much closer at the beginning than this allowed.Overall though the results are some of the best I've had.

This gardening system is great! It is very easy to use from seed to harvest, and it takes a lot of the guess work out of hydroponic gardening.The adjustable height of the light panel helps to accommodate for different plant heights, the built in water heater helps to keep water at a favorable temperature for fast plant growth, the control panel is easy to program, there are ample plant sites for up to 15 different plants to grow at one time, and the supplied nutrients are easy to measure out and use.The only things I would modify about this product, is that the garden sometimes loses power when the light panel is adjusted upward, and I would add a 24 hour programmable clock into the control panel to set the lights by.Other than that, a great gardening system for beginners and pros!

I bought this on sale for around 50 dollars and I can say it is definitely not worth the 100 dollars and here’s why. Set up was pretty easy there were several questions I had that were not addressed in the manual that I had to contact the company about. For example it says nothing about the pump cover in the manual but according to the company you should keep that on at all times so that water doesn’t splash everywhere. I can confirm that if you leave the pump cover off, that water will splash everywhere. The power button on my garden was very inconsistent, I would hit the power button and it would instantly turn off it would not stay on so that I could set the time and brightness percentage. The only way I was able to do this was by activating the pump. The pump also runs for 3 minutes and then takes a 2 minute break and then repeats this process. According to the company it is supposed to run for 30 minutes and then shut off for 30 minutes and repeat this cycle while the pump is on. I can say that the pump does not shut off after 30 minutes because I have timed it. I just leave the pump button on for hours and it just runs every three minutes. I also had a question about how often to have the pump on because it did not say that in the manual and according to the company you do not need to have the pump on at all times. The garden is generally quiet, however every now and then the light fixture will make a high pitched sounds that only goes away if I lightly touch the light fixture. However if you touch the light fixture with to much force or accidentally bump it while turning the pump off the entire thing shuts down and you have to reprogram it. The majority of my seeds came up pretty fast, but as you can see from my photo the lettuce got very leggy and flopped over and it is not very big. I bought brand new seeds so the seeds should not be an issue. As you can see in the photo most of the seeds did pop up but to what extent they will actually grow and get bigger I’m not sure. I think it is also important to note that the mist does not actually rise above plants it remains under the cover. As of right now I would say this would work great for starting seeds and then transplanting the plants but I am not sure to what extend the plants will actually get large enough to produce a substantial amount. I just came back to update this review. I bought this in November and now the pump no longer works. Very disappointed, don’t waste your money.

I am very happy with the growth of my herbs. It was really easy and I have a brain injury. I had a questions about something I didn't understand I was able to reach someone after leaving a message. They got back to me the next day.Some only two pods didn't bloom but overall I'm ready for round two.

Love this little machine! Everything has grown well in it.Very sensitive panel. Getting close without touching will change the light percentage, and will turn off the system. I've done it twice.

I recently picked this up to replace a different brand that I had years ago. My old one broke and it was time to replace it. This one came in at half the price, but had more features! With this planter, I can adjust the brightness of the lights depending on what I'm growing and what stage they're at. And if I'm not sure what to do, the very helpful manual tells me exactly what the levels and settings should be every step of the way.Germination happened quickly and surprised me with how fast everything grew. Plus, with the misting feature, it ensures that all plants are at the appropriate temperature and get the right nutrients at the right time. If you're looking for a good hydroponic garden setup for beginners or pros alike, this is your machine.

Very easy to set up and operate. I actually figured out the light timer and intensity/spectrum settings on my own, but checked the instructions just to be sure. This unit takes up less space than a 5-gallon aquarium and looks nice on display, which I guess I really wasn’t expecting it to be this nice. For someone who is basically impatient to see results, this does not disappoint. First seedlings emerged overnight, all now have multiple sprouts and first sets of true leaves are developing after 6 days in each and every pot! So happy to see my results really look just like the pictures in the advert.
