I was a little skeptical at first about how visible the UV dye would be in the water, especially with the sun and shade in my pool, but it works amazingly well. The color shows up clearly—even in darker areas—which made it super easy to check for leaks. Fortunately, I didn’t find any active leaks this time, but I’m really glad I have this on hand for the future. There’s a generous amount of product included, so it’ll last through multiple uses. Definitely recommend for peace of mind!

This worked for exactly what I needed it to do, which was to find the hole that was leaking water in my above ground pool. I watched some videos on YouTube on how to use dye and it did the job. Just squirted a bit in the area where I there's a leak (gotta get close to the area) and it moved right into the hole. Would recommend to anyone having this issue.

Bottle of dye opened and foil peeled back. Dye all over my hands and kitchen counter. I needed it right away so I used the dye kit. It worked well. I was pleased with the product.

The media could not be loaded. My video shows my first try using this fluorescent dye.My pool has a very slow leak from the spa into the pool. I'm convinced that the leak is through a grout line either below or between the single row of tiles that surround the top of the spa. The spa water drips through the stone wall separating it from the pool all night after the pump shuts off.The instructions on the dye bottle call for positioning the dispensing tip 1/2" from the suspected leak.Not knowing where the leak was, I held the tip maybe 6" above the water surface and dispensed a ribbon. The dye did not seem to disappear through a leak but I did see dye entering the pool below. I wasn't able to tell exactly where the leak was. This was obviously not the best way to dispense the dye.I'll try again by dispensing small quantities of dye near each vertical grout line, one at a time, until I can track down the leak.I have no doubt that I'll be able to locate my leak but it's small enough that it will take time.I like the ease with which I can see the dye in my pool and how it disperses slowly in calm water. As the description says, it does look fluorescent in daylight - like a yellow-green.The kit came with plenty of dye and two syringes with two different dispensing tips. I've been needing a syringe like this for years for precision dispensing of glue, but I couldn't find one.The bottom line: This is a nice leak detection kit at a good price.
