Good book which provides a general understanding of antiquesA little out of date now though as over 10 years old.

Cracking book! Arrived in good time, great condition, not sure if previous owner had actually read the whole thing. It covers a great range from furniture through ceramics to glass. Each section covers a range for example different UK potteries, pottery from Japan, China, USA etc. Gives good descriptions and tips on what to look out for regarding condition, marks, fakes etc. Quite a lot packed into what is really a general book covering a very wide range of topics. It's very well written and, if you've watched Eric Knowles on TV, you'll get an idea of the style. It's the best antiques book I've bought, and I've got a few, and, a great starting point if you want to go on and look at specific areas in more detail.
