The Godhead Complex (The Maze Cutter) Paperback – September 3, 2024

This is one book in a long series – the series was recommended to me for my son who is a younger teenager, he recently turned to 14, and he loves dystopian novel series. It was recommended to me by my older nephew, who just turned 18, who read the series around the same age as my son. My boy is an active reader who tears through books with wild abandon, yet retains everything he reads. He loved the series. I would not recommend reading the book out of order. My son & my nephew read them all in order.

Love these books. Dashner is a great storyteller with a vivid imagination. He creates unique voices and characters that make every book a wonderful dive into blissful escapism.

I ordered this for my son who loves the entire maze runner series. He just couldn’t get into this book. He said the story line was too complicated to follow comprehensively and he had to force himself to finish it.

Both “The Maze Cutter” and “GodHead Complex” are absolutely amazing “spinoffs” to the original Maze Runners. Be aware it is different characters, they are on their own journey but has Old Man Frypan, mentions the old Gladers, stories of the old Gladers, the “Book of Newt”, and much more; so if you love all prequels to the Maze Runners and the Maze Runners themselves, you’ll absolutely love these next 2.
