Sliced pretty thin so heats up quickly, which is a good thing. tasted great and we froze the rest for three more meals in the future. Immediately ordered another case, this will be awesome in an emergency situation and I couldn't be happier. I was also impressed with the way it was packed to ensure NO dented or damaged cans ( box in a box plus packed, crumpled paper between the boxes).

What can I say about bacon? What I paid for was long shelf life--and not needing refrigeration. Remember COVID a few years back? How long can you hold out without violating curfew and travelling to your favorite grocery store, only now with empty shelves? A week? Two days? Europeans used to shop at their neighborhood bakeries, butchers, dairies and grocers every day, picking up fresh food--I haven't been to Europe since passing through in 2005.The can contains 3/4th of a pound of pre-cooked bacon strips--real bacon wrapped in butcher paper to keep from crumbling the bacon strips. Buy a can, put it in your pantry, remember to buy a new can in a few years to replace and use your current can.

Very greedy but darn good. Tastes just like fresh cooked bacon. Highly recommend this for your survival stash food or just for snacking on. Rapped in paper to separate it.

The Werling canned bacon was surprisingly good! I like to try different shelf stable emergency foods. This was a treat. I sure do love me some bacon. The contents are 12oz of cooked weight bacon packaged in parchment paper and rolled for maximum contents. Can be eaten as is or heated but either way it had good flavor, texture, and consistency. Stamp which believe to be best by date on the can indicates a shelf life of 21332

Very happy about this purchase. Refrigeration is not necessary and it’s perfect for camping.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought it to add to emergency supplies. I was surprised that it doesn't have a lid for closing it back up Also a little disappointed that it needs refrigeration after opening. I haven't tried it yet, but maybe it's worth the high price. I'll find out when I need to open it in an emergency.

Perhaps it’s made for survival rations but it is very good bacon that is great for everyday use. I take it camping and to picnics to make a BLT sandwiches. There is a large amount of bacon on the can, enough for a dozen sandwiches. It tastes fresh and I eat it cold or 15 seconds in the microwave. Either way, it’s delicious.

Handy for a quick breakfast and they can store for years until needed
