I own both the regular case and the magsafe. I also owned and discovered this case for the Google pixel 8 pro. I previously had an Athlex, which is also a fantastic grippy case. What I liked about this one is that it has the same type of grippy nature but even more sleek, Slim and perfectly fit to the Google pixel 8 pro and the Google pixel 9 pro and XL model.The case is thin enough to be comfortable yet thick enough to provide adequate protection. It does a slightly better job than the other case I mentioned with regard to screen protectors, all of which I've been able to apply perfectly without them peeling up due to the case. The molding around the camera bar is the best I have seen and I can't understand why other manufacturers don't do the same. Perhaps they're worried that the cutouts won't match properly, but mine have in every single case I have purchased from Ringke.The onyx has become the standard case for my family and everyone loves it. For the reasons I mentioned. There is grippy texture on the side that makes a tremendous difference from the Torras cases and Spigen, that makes the whole difference. It's designed that way so it's not smooth. However, it's only slightly recessed so there's plenty of comfortable grip that it provides over just plain rubber.There's more camera protection here than any other phone I've seen, with. Perhaps an extra millimeter around the camera in the back. On the front, the top and bottom are slightly higher than the middle of the phone.Magsafe works perfectly. I didn't like using it before but now with this case, being sleek as it is, I sometimes use it for car mounts and stands, being able to stick it on the back whenever I want. It is definitely strong enough to hold the phone and has never been an issue.

If you're looking for a case that has a perfect balance between durability and a clean, minimalist look. This is it. The case provides excellent protection without all the unnecessary bulk. It was very easy to install and the colors compliment the phone well. The outer scratch resistant layer is great and is holding up to the abuse from work. It's not equipped with a prop stand but the extra grip on the sides makes up for it.I Highly recommend and look forward to using more Ringke products in the future.

Right out of the box, this case felt amazing in hand. It’s slim but has a super grippy texture that makes the phone feel secure without adding bulk. The tiny etched textures on the sides aren’t just for looks — they genuinely help with grip and give a lot of confidence when holding the phone one-handed.There are zero fingerprint issues, which I really appreciated. After regular use, the matte camo black finish still looks clean without any oily smudges or glossy wear spots.It also strikes a nice balance between protection and bulk. It doesn’t feel like you’re holding a brick, but it still feels like it could handle a decent drop without worry. Cutouts around the camera and buttons are all precise, with nothing getting in the way.Highly recommend this for anyone who wants a case that feels great, looks sharp, and actually makes using the phone more enjoyable.

THE GOOD: The case itself is decent. The fit is snug not too hard to take off but it won't slip out the case on a drop. The texture on the back and sides feel nice on the hand, which makes the grip feel more secure. Side buttons make a nice clicky sound which may annoy some, but if your a pen pusher like me then the ASMR is nice. It doesn't add a lot of bulk to the phone either and the bezels are just slim enough to make sure the back and front glass screen don't hit the bare floor.THE BAD:The magnet could be stronger, but it's usable enough to be on my cars magnetic phone holder. Also, I'm pretty sure they gave me a used case. The outside plastic was ripped open but on the sealed side, not the bottom that had the glue strip either. Also there was a couple white marks on the back and sides as well. I would like to think it was a manufacturing/packaging problem. 1 star lost for presentation, but other than that this case will do just fine.

Great case overall! I personally think it complements the Pixel series stupendously.- Provides far better camera protection than most cases, though the Pixel isn't the safest bet if you're trying to preserve your camera, considering the sheer size of the glass. (Hence the protector in the photos.)- Very easy to install and remove, almost too easy on certain parts like the bottom. This is with a AACL screen protector installed too, however, so it appears to interfere with fitment slightly, but it's not a deal breaker.- There are also slight flaring on the screen side at the top and bottom. (See photos.) This took a moment to get used to when navigating near the top of the screen, but it's barely noticeable and is an plus on the protection side. I also like how the sides are contoured inwards to retain the width of the phone, making it easy to retain a solid grip on the phone, but still provide extra cushioning at the edges. It's nothing like an Otterbox for protection, but it should get the job done in mild to moderate cases.- The magnet strength with the phone installed leaves something to be desired, however. I don't have any MagSafe accessories handy at the moment, but testing it on a flat sheet of metal suggests it should retain well enough to use in something like a car mount or on a desktop, but not something I would trust in any environment where it's exposed to more than mild vibration or jostling.Overall, I'd say to choose this case if you prioritize the feel and look of your phone case, and want some of the best camera protection on the market, but steer clear if you work in a rough environment or use MagSafe motorcycle handlebar mounts.
