Q: How do you know when to change the filter?

Hi Lisa, Thanks for your interest in our Waterdrop 10-Cup Water Filter Pitcher. There are two ways to help you confirm when the filter needs to be replaced. 1. The filter life capacity of this pitcher is up to 200 gallons/3 months. Due to the different water quality and water consumption of each house, the actual replacement time of the filter element is not consistent. The actual situation shall prevail. 2. The indicator on the pitcher can help you know when the filter needs to be replaced. Below are three status of the indicator to reflect the filter life for your reference: a. The blue light means "Good status" with a maximum of 90 days of the filter life. b.The red flash means "Replace soon" with a 10-day grace period to replace the filer. c. The red light(stay on for 5 seconds) means "Replace now". At this time, you have to replace the filter immediately to ensure the finest water quality. Q: I have been unable to reach customer service. What is the best way to reach them?

Hard to get to them. Leave your massage and tell them you’ve tried so many times during business hours and haven’t heard from anyone. That’s how I got someone to call me back. They were very apologetic and actually nice. Solved my problem.

Q: What exactly does this filter out? ,also does it filtrr flouride or leave flouride?

It's NSF/ANSI 42/372 NSF 42: "Filters are certified to reduce aesthetic impurities such as chlorine and taste/odor. These can be point-of-use (under the sink, water pitcher, etc.) or point-of-entry (whole house) treatment systems." NSF 372 just means the product contains no lead, doesn't mean it filters out lead.The pitcher filters I know of off hand that reduce fluoride and lead are Epic, Clearly Filtered and ZeroWater.

Q: Is the filter light supposed to blink after every pour? I never see it. (Yest I set it the first time).
