I was searching Amazon for a dog bone shaped cookie cutter to make my own dog biscuits. While I was scrolling through the various available products, I noticed that there were dog shaped cutters for boxers and labs. As they are among the most popular breeds currently, that did not surprise me. I thought I would try searching for an Irish Setter cookie cutter with little hope, since this breed had dropped significantly in popularity in the early 1980's. I was both astonished and quite pleased that I found this cutter in my search. The shape captures the beauty and dignity of the breed. It is well constructed and I would highly recommend it to any Setter admirer out there.

I really wish I had taken photos of these cookies! They are so cute! I made gingerbread Irish Setters! I sprinkled them with red or green sprinkles. I wish the actual head had been a wee bit larger because when my dough got room temp I had a little trouble releasing the dough from the cutter, but that was my error.

This cookie cutter is very well made. It arrived in excellent condition.

Easy to use cookie cutter. I was a little worried the nose might be too narrow/thin but once the cookies came out of the oven, everything looked proportional. Irish Setters fans will have fun and enjoy this pretty cooper cookie cutter for years to come.
