Set at the dawn of time, when prehistoric creatures and woolly mammoths roamed the earth, Early Man tells the story of Dug, along with sidekick Hognob as they unite his tribe against a mighty enemy Lord Nooth and his Bronze Age City to save their home. Review: Watch this movie! - This is a great movie! It is entertaining for any age group. Review: The ancient story of soccer and how a team of underdogs uses love and friendship to prevail - This is a fun new release by the folks at Aardman and directed by the master, Nick Park. It is the story of football (soccer) and how a tribe of underdogs uses the power of love and teamwork to overcome a daunting challenge. There are plenty of sight gags for the younger viewers and lots of verbal double meanings for the grownups. It is one of my favorite Aardman films. The good guys speak in English accents and the bad guys speak in French accents. The video is very British. If you love the Goon Show, Monte Python, I'm Sorry I'll read that Again, and other seminal British comedies then you will likely love this one.

4K is spectacular
What's not to like? It's a novel "stone age" story, marvelous characters, beautiful sets, all enhanced by the incredible detail and depth of fully realized 4K. The HDR is particularly effective, giving bright contrasting colors. Viewed on a 120" screen projected in 4K it is immersive, drawing one into a wonderful world where the stone age and bronze age crash against each other. Especially beautiful are the soft fabrics contrasting with glittering, hard metal. It's almost as good as 3D, worth watching again over and over. Bravo!

Really cute movie
Such a cute movie! Eddie Redmayne did a fabulous job as always. It's about futball (soccer) and I'm not a sports fan so I wasn't sure if I would like it, but you really don't need to be to watch this movie. However, you do need to be a fan of British humor lol.

Another enjoyable film from Nick Park
Early Man was an entertaining film from start to finish, with lots of jokes that had my whole family laughing. The details were incredible, and included jokes I didn't catch until after several viewings. Special features were interesting and helped to show the enormous amount of work that goes into making animated films. My only regret was not seeing this film in the theater like I did Wallace and Gromit Curse of the Were-rabbit.

What will they think of next?
Aardman can do no wrong by me! I love and admire everything they come up with. And this was no exception. This idea of having the caveman fighting the man from the Bronze Age on the battlefield of soccer is hilarious. And so inventive. But maybe the stop motion animation of all these characters on such wonderful sets is what this viewer is mostly in awe of. Can't wait for their next creation!

An ok Nick Park film
As a major Wallace and Gromit fan, I'll watch anything Mr Park and Aardman produce. This one is a little strained, though still clever and delightful to look at. Not inappropriate for children, though they won't really get it.

hours of child entertainment
As children will do, the continuous replay of this movie will have me memorizing it in short order. It is one of the favorite videos in the house at the moment.
