TP-Link Tapo C500 Outdoor Wi-Fi Security Camera, 360° FHD 1080P with Night Vision, Two-Way Audio, Cloud Video Recording, Works with Alexa

This camera was so easy to set up, position and maintain. It has worked flawlessly since I installed it. It arrived neatly packaged with simple setup instructions, a charging cable, magnetic fixing plates and sticky pads. It was partially charged when I received it but it still took about an hour to fully charge. It’s been working for 2 weeks now and still showing 91% charge so I’m very pleased with the current battery life. Connection to the internet through the Tapo app was very simple and quick. Picture and sound quality are very good and the ability to have 2-way communication is a great feature. I’ve currently got it fixed to the fridge door by the magnetic base and holder. It’s set to monitor my dog (and talk) on the odd occasion I have to leave him at home. Plenty of adjustment for detection range, motion and sensitivity. At night it has 2 strong lights which illuminate the area well. There is an option to use a microSD card for local recording but I’ve not tried this function yet. Very reasonably priced so I’d definitely recommend

Ordered the Tapo TC425, arrived promptly. Like all our other Tapo products was seamless to setup and picture is clear and great quality. Wireless and rechargeable, battery seems to last well and attached to wall with magnetic base. Would definitely order another.

fairly expensive to purchase but you can see the quality,magnetic base makes it easy to position and easy to fitno monthly fees and great picture quality,easy connection and good night vision good product

Great picture quality. Easy to set up.Not happy putting it outside with just a magnetic mount - I tried to get a fixed mount but the camera manufacturers don’t do one! Great little outdoor camera. It does the job! Easy to install & get going. Has perks & extras too. Sound, alarm, you can talk, night light. Extras you can use or not if U wish.I think it's ideal. I'm going to get another one!👍😊

Amazing value really. On board storage, easy to review footage. I’ve set up monitoring zones and alerts to my phone. Quality of image is very good. I bought x 2. I have stuck one inside the garage with a metal roof and concrete panels and it still connects to my router in my office around 10m away and has the metal covered kingspan. IR image excellent with no added light whatsoever. Battery life is stunning! I would buy more but I have enough cameras around my house that I don’t need anymore. Might buy more anyways! And the recorded audio is also top notch. Highly recommend

Okay I don't really leave reviews but I am a little shocked I don't even know where to start.I set this camera up as per the manual and read every detail.There are a few issues so I will go one by one.I keep getting motion notifications every 5 minutes. Not sure what triggers it. There is a tree like 10 feet away I am thinking this might be causing it but thought their algorithm would prevent this as advertised. This causes my camera to stay on quite often and my battery dropped to 80% within one week. It will certainly not last as advertised.This issue causes hundreds of notifications on my phone as well. Their app is supposed to be able to mute motion notifications but it does not work so I cannot even mute them.This camera also is not able to differentiate between pets and humans. Every time a cat walks on the street or my driveway I get a 'person detected' notification despite the fact that pet detection has its own category as they claim...Worst and most unacceptable and probably the most ridiculous part is that it absolutely does not detect and record what I need it to. I set this up on my driveway and had tens of deliveries since then, not a single one of them was captured. I walk on my driveway, water the plants, wave at the camera and come back inside. It only records me just as I am leaving or after I have left. This is actually quite scary and serious. Really unfit for purpose. Don't know what to do at this stage. I changed all the sensitivity settings and played around and this hasn't made a difference. It sometimes detects people walking on the street so far away though. Such a bizarre camera.
