Great smart lock
So far good. I would say the lever can be less flimsy but it works always. The battery notification is helpful and the auto lock function works well too. Installation is fairly easy, just follow the instructions. However i have to say it is difficult ish to get the seal to properly seal the lock against the door for weatherproofing it. For the price, this is an excellent smart home lock that you can open/close from anywhere. No additional subscription needed. I actually used this to replace my schlage. The schlage build quality is nicer but i don’t think it’s 8x nicer compared to this.

Eufy E31 Smartlock
Eufy Smart Lock Review — A Huge Upgrade Over Schlage EncodeAfter struggling with two Schlage Encode locks, I decided to replace them with Eufy smart locks, and I couldn’t be happier with the switch. My Experience With Schlage EncodeUnfortunately, the Schlage Encode locks consistently gave me trouble. Despite repeated attempts, I was unable to update the firmware, and getting the locks to join my Wi-Fi network was frustratingly unreliable. A quick search online confirmed that I wasn’t alone — plenty of other users reported the same issues. These ongoing problems eroded my confidence in the Schlage devices. Why Eufy Stands OutIn contrast, the Eufy smart locks have worked perfectly from day one. Setup was simple, and they connected to Wi-Fi without any hassle. The locks have been reliable ever since, with no dropped connections or update headaches.I also appreciate the build quality:The Eufy lock operates quietly — no loud clunking noises like I experienced with the Schlage. The rear latch feels solid, with no excessive play or looseness.Seamless integration with Doorbells like the e340 for unlockingFinal ThoughtsIf you’re looking for a smart lock that simply works, I highly recommend giving Eufy a try. After my disappointing experience with Schlage, Eufy’s reliability and thoughtful design have been a refreshing change.

A solid choice.
Easy to install and use. Occasionally, the finger print reader doesn’t work the first touch. The lock is well built.

Really love it!
The media could not be loaded. This lock is great! I bought it during prime day so it was on sale. That’s the only thing that took me over the edge and made me do it. Everything seems to work exactly as it indicates. The only thing I wish is that it had a Geo Fence. I wanted to be able to have fobs that would work, but I haven’t had an issue with the fingerprint yet. My son and daughter are both have their fingerprints on there too and haven’t had any issues. The only weird thing is that you have to have a voice code in order to use with Alexa. It’s kind of scary to think that if someone was over at my house and I had to use that code, that perhaps if they heard me use it, they could actually yell it through my window or something. But the probability of that is pretty low. Just make sure that it is a different code than what you use for yourself to get in from the outside. We’re just going to change it periodically. Locking it works fine, but unlocking it you have to use a code. Sorry for the video. I’m still getting used to it so I seem to press a bunch of buttons! But it’s not that hard!

DO NOT BUY!!!
I have been an Anker/Eufy fan for many years and have owned several of their products, but this has been my worst experience yet. I bought two of these locks, and while both installed easily and worked fine for about two weeks, they eventually went offline.I tried restarting my WiFi and removing and reinstalling the batteries, but neither lock would reconnect to WiFi. At this point, both locks were still connecting via Bluetooth. I then visited Anker’s support site, which directed me to completely reset the locks. Following their instructions, I reset one of the locks, which caused it to be completely removed from the Eufy app. When I attempted to set the lock back up in the app, it consistently failed at the WiFi setup step and could not be added back to the app. Since it is no longer set up, this lock cannot even be controlled via Bluetooth.Frustrated, I contacted support (which is only available via email). Over two weeks, I went back and forth explaining and re-explaining the issue. In the end, support said there was nothing they could do and advised me to use Bluetooth to control the locks. Because of the time wasted working with support, I am now outside the return window. As a result, I have one lock that is completely disconnected and cannot be controlled at all, and another that can only be controlled via Bluetooth when standing right next to it.Terrible experience!

Easy to install and use, great customer service, solid product
Easy to install and to get working with app. One of two kits was missing an insignificant part (rubber aesthetic plug) that customer support sent out to me quickly and free of charge. One of those upgrades that made me ask myself, "Why didn't I do this sooner?!".

Great value for a matter over thread lock
One of the first matter with thread networking locks. Matter will let you use Apple, Alexa, etc all at the same time if you want. Thread will double battery life if using Apple home. Eufy resolved no response issues with a firmware update. Got low battery warning after first week so I unpaired Alexa to minimize use of WiFi which eats batteries. Batteries seem to be lasting much longer now. The E30 looks good, is reliable and future proofed with matter and thread. Glad I worked thru initial issuesUpdate: looks like the low battery warning was false. Batteries still had 1.5 volts. Eufy fixed with firmware update. Same batteries read 100 now.Update: had it for 8 weeks, batteries at 89%. Operation is flawless. Make sure you update firmware, have a thread border router if using Apple Home, a good WiFi signal as a weak signal will eat batteries. This is still one of only 3 locks that have native matter over thread. I.e. no hub
