Start Up, Bacteria Starter Kit, Fresh and Saltwater, 30/1 mL vials, 90-250 gallons

First tried these from a vendor at an Aquatic convention. I am hooked! With close to 20 tanks, I have cycled media I could switch around. I use these as a boost to jump start the cycle in a tank, or if I see a bacterial issue. Since these are preserved in gas, not air, the biggest benefit is no expiration date, no refrigeration needed.the vials are very sturdy feeling, and they don't feel delicate. The way they are packaged, they should be OK with some rough handling. If you need to quickly cycle a tank, or boost your tanks BB, this is for you! Also- just got my 4th purchase of this product. There is now an expiry date of about 4 years. I'm hoping to get some to share with my local Aquarium club so they can try it.Serious Aquarists should have this in their supplies. It's super handy!

I purchased a running 36 gallon freshwater tank from a neighbor, and needed to restart it quickly. I wasn't interested in porting all of the water, so I kept the filter and gravel stored wet. I cleaned the tank fully, then added the gravel and filled it with RO/DI water....powering up the Fluval canister 205 filter and begin bringing it up to temp. I added BioDigest and AmmoStop to quickly prep the new water and added all 20 fish when it achieved temp. Testing ammonia and nitrates/nitrates for the next week... shows a clean immediate transition to the new environment. The new tank setup has been running for 4 weeks now and I'm about to use the 3rd set of vials. There are those that say you have to continue to dose prodibio once you start, I'll just stay vigilant on my levels and water changes.I also use Prodibio on my marine reef nano tank with great success... recommend to anyone who runs aquariums...

Since most of the negative comments here don't explain why this product didn't work for them, I would take their reviews with a grain of salt. I have used this product on 7 different tanks and it worked for me. I use active soil SL-Aqua and ADA Amazonia. The nitrogen cycle was much faster with SL-Aqua (completed in 2.5 weeks). It took an extra week with Amazonia. I have not lost any plants, fish or shrimp. I used this for new startup tanks, not existing ones.

I would advise EVERYONE to use this once your tank has gotten past the amonia stage. Absolutely hammered that nitrite into nitrate in my planted tank in a few days! People need to realize there is not a quick fix in adding fish to the aquarium but this is definitely going to get them closer.

It really does help the whole start-up process and moves everything along. A little pricey, but it is one of the newer types of products like this. Will buy again.

Works GREAT! I have read all the reviews. Use sone test kits give you a false positive. So try other test. I have set up multiple tanks using this. From discus to freshwater puffers. Fully stocked. No problems. Setting up anther 60 gallon today, already have fish. Best of luck to others

I was able to start my tank up within 24 hours. I had live rock and a baby puffer who was happily swimming around. 2 month in and i now have 2 fish, hermit crabs, snails, and shrimp. If you are overly anxious and impatient like me, or if you recently moved and need to quickly set your tank back up, this is the product to get!!!

Did the job well, was able to add a couple fish after 24 hrs, The only minus was no directions as to whether you added the full amount for your size tank in one go or so many over a period
