Excellent Printer, Excellent Customer Service
I purchased this printer on the back of watching numerous review videos online and the Amazon reviews here. The printer came in heavy duty packaging without issue. The box is absolutely massive but easy to handle. The printer itself was an absolute doddle to set up, the touchscreen even walks you through it step by step. Once set up I completed an in built test "benchy" print and wow! It printed in 15 mins and looked very good. I then went on to print some parts for a statue that I had started a while ago on a different printer and the results were so much quicker to print and of very good quality. I particularly like that it has a filament sensor, this worked great and paused the print so that I could purge the remaining filament and replace the spool, the print then carried on like nothing had happened. I did have some issues along the way, I had some banding, which I fixed by tightening the upper belt to match the resistance of the lower. I also played around with the z offset by printing a 2 layer high sheet the same size as the build plate and then adjusting the offset on screen to account for the overall bed level. One other issue, that was totally my own fault was that I pressed home whilst the metal build surface was out of the printer, the printer did not like this and proceeded to smash the build plate into the nozzle repeatedly, causing a large hole in the magnetic sheet. I reached out to QIDI as at first I had no idea what I had done wrong and they explained right away that the build surface must be in the printer before operating any of the auto home functions or printing as the sensors in the hot end need to have sight of the metal build surface. They sent me a replacement magnetic sheet very quickly and at no extra cost, which was obviously very kind of them and I believe shows the great level of customer service they are providing. I would not hesitate to recommend this printer or the company.

Affordable Yet Powerful – A Solid Investment for Makers
We are always prototyping, and the QIDI PLUS4 3D Printer has been an incredible addition to our workshop. What really stands out is how fast this thing prints. We get parts printed so quickly, which helps us crank out prototypes quickly without waiting around. The enclosure is great —solid and keeps everything stable. It feels super high quality and heats up quickly. We’ve had way fewer issues with prints failing, especially when we use tougher materials. Plus, it keeps the area clean and safe, which is one of the reasons we like the enclosure. It even has an inbuilt purge and nozzle cleaner which is super cool. The print bed size is a big win. We can easily print larger parts like custom mounts and masks for the bike parts. For the price, it’s hard to beat, especially when you compare it to something like a Bambu printer. This QIDI printer gives you a lot of the same performance at a much more affordable price. Honestly, for what we need—fast, reliable prints with good quality—the QIDI PLUS4 does the job really well without breaking the bank. If you’re after a solid, affordable printer for rapid prototyping, this one’s definitely worth it. Highly recommend to anyone looking to buy a printer.

An upgrade from I3 mega S printer!
I recently upgraded to the Qidi X-Plus 3D Printer from the Anycubic i3 Mega S, and I have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. This printer has brought my 3D printing experience to a whole new level, and I'd like to share my thoughts on it. **Pros:** 1. **Exceptional Customer Support:** Qidi's customer support is top-notch. I encountered some issues after changing the nozzle, but their support team consistently responded to my emails within 24 hours or less. They not only addressed my concerns but also provided me with the necessary settings to get back to printing smoothly. 2. **Blazing Fast Printing:** Compared to my old 3D printer (Mega S), the Qidi X-Plus is an absolute speed demon. It's approximately 2-3x times faster, allowing me to complete prints in a fraction of the time. 1.5 hour prints, now completed under 35-40 minutes! 3. **Auto Bed Leveling:** The auto bed leveling feature is a game-changer, making the initial setup and calibration process a breeze. It ensures that prints adhere to the build plate perfectly, reducing the chances of failed prints. 4. **User-Friendly Klipper:** Klipper firmware on this printer is incredibly easy to use, especially when compared to my Mega S. It simplifies the printing process and provides a smoother experience. 5. **Sturdy Construction:** Despite being primarily made of plastic where required, the Qidi X-Plus still feels massive and robust. This gives me confidence in its durability over the long term. **Cons:** 1. **Size and Weight:** One notable drawback is the printer's size and weight. It's quite massive, and it took two people to move and unbox it safely. Make sure you have the space and assistance needed for installation. 2. **Filament Holder Location:** The filament holder is positioned at the back of the printer, which can be a bit inconvenient, especially if space is limited. 3. **USB Port Placement:** The USB port is located at the back on top, making it somewhat challenging to access. It could have been more conveniently placed for easier connectivity. 4. **Initial Extruder Issue:** Upon arrival, one of the extruders didn't work, which was disappointing. However, the company promptly resolved the issue by sending a replacement via DPD the next day. 5. **Price:** The Qidi X-Plus comes at a higher price point compared to your previous Mega S printer, which might be a concern for some buyers. However, the enhanced features and performance justify the investment. 6. **Lack of Nozzle Change Instructions:** I had trouble finding clear instructions on how to change the nozzle on the X-Plus 3. It would be helpful if the manufacturer provided more detailed guidance in this regard. 7. **Slicer Information:** While the printer uses PrusaSlicer, there is limited documentation available. If you're new to this slicer and have previously used Cura, you might need to do some additional research or watch tutorials online to get the hang of it. In summary, the Qidi X-Plus 3D Printer is a powerful and efficient machine that offers incredible speed and reliability. While it comes with a few minor drawbacks, its exceptional customer support and overall performance make it a worthwhile investment for 3D printing enthusiasts looking to take their projects to the next level.

Great quality with reliability
This 3D printer is an essential tool for anyone, no matter their experience level. Its quick setup, user-friendly operation, and outstanding reliability make it a standout choice. Setting it up is a breeze; just be sure to carefully follow the instructions and remove all the screws. One important detail I nearly missed was opening the air filter at the back of the internal chamber and removing the filter bag from its packaging. The ability to switch materials without replacing any other parts is a tremendous time-saver that streamlines the entire printing process. Coupled with the automatic nozzle cleaning feature, this printer has truly become an invaluable part of my toolkit. For over three months now, this printer has consistently operated for 12 to 18 hours a day, and it has performed almost flawlessly, excluding the typical human errors or model issues. I highly recommend starting with a "poop chute" print; the printer cleans the nozzle before each print, forcefully expelling excess filament from the rear, ensuring optimal performance. Visually, the printer is impressive. The sleek glass door and top cover not only enhance its aesthetic appeal but also significantly reduce noise while effectively supporting active chamber heating. In short, this is an exceptional product that delivers outstanding results for users of every level.

I have an Ultimaker 2+. I bought a Qidi Plus4
After looking at video’s of a number of 3D printers inc: Prusa, Elegoo, Bambu. Last week I decided to buy the Qidi Plus 4 from Amazon's UK site I placed the order on the 5th it was delivered on the 7th, it was extremely well packed. I unpacked it as shown in the quick start guide and on screen startup, I loaded the sample filament and proceeded to print the Benchy during this print I noticed the Hot End Fan cover was moving on further investigation I found the Left & Right plastic fixing points had broken off from the main fan assembly, I could not see any other damage or possible cause, however, on reflection the tie wrap securing the Hot End to the back of the machine for shipment was very tight, it is possible this caused the issue. I made a temporary repair and continued testing the machine and found no further issues, I’m very impressed with speed and quality of all the prints I’ve made, the print quality is every bit as good if not a little better than I get off my Ultimaker 2+, however, the speed of the Qidi is incredible while maintaining the same superb print quality. I contacted Qidi support on the 10th, I sent a short email, attached a couple of photo’s help explain the issue, on the 11th I got an email back with a link to a very informative video showing exactly how the Hot End is disassembled/reassembled and a request to send my proof of purchase/order number so they could setup a warranty claim, on the 12th I received an email asking me to confirm my delivery address and to tell me they would sending out a new fan assembly and Hot End carriage plate. The parts arrived from China on the 16th by DHL I fitted them and can report the machine is back in as new condition and is working very very well. I cannot fault the Qidi support team, how they handled this issue, the speed of response and the professional way they handled my complaint was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend the Qidi Plus4 to anyone thinking of buying a 3D printer it just works out of the box. A superb and large 3D printer.
A fantastic printer straight out of the box. It's big, very big and very heavy. So heavy in fact it has carrying handles built in the top which retract when not in use. It has a wide frame around the door which looks chunky compared to some others but not out of place. The proportions suit it and it makes this beast look solid and powerful, like it means business! 10 minutes to unpack, remove a few screws, attach the spool holder, door handle and the large control panel and your ready to print. It's super easy and the instructions appear on the control panel screen to guide you through it. It comes with a very small amount of filament, PLA I think, just enough to print a benchy which is pre loaded in the machine. Insert this stingy amount and your printing instantly. The print volume is large but I would have liked a bit more height, at least to match the 305 by 305 bed. However it is heated so exotic engineering materials are possible (combined with the super hot nozzle). There is a pack of activated charcoal to reduce emissions but how effective this is is debatable. I presume more can be purchased from Qidi but I think I might design and print my own refillable insert to take low priced charcoal purchased elsewhere. Print quality is amazing using the Qidi slicer but I suggest downloading Orca Slicer for even more control. Some fillaments need a lot of playing with to print perfectly as most filament presents are for the Qidi own brand materials and other brands are slightly different. So far I've printedainly PLA and PLA+ as well as some PETG. The PLA+ from Elegoo needed a lot of dialing in temperature and heat settings starting from the generic ones in Orca Slicer to get a perfect print but it's not difficult. The heated chamber is too much for PLA so don't forget to crack open the lid! Printing a small riser of some kind will help here. VFA's so far have been non existent and there is no stringing. Overhangs seem to be handled well, sometimes without support. Did I mention it's fast? Base settings with PLA I've got a perfect benchy in sub 20inutes and a very good one in as little as 9 minutes with some playing with the settings. Even my Bambu Labs P1S can't do that and obtain the quality. WiFi connectivity can be an issue. If I turn off my machine it will change the WiFi address when I turn it back on meaning my pc and the phone app cannot find the machine. I have had to set the address several times because of this. I'm not sure if it's my WiFi or the printer. The case looks like painted metal but it is plastic. I guess this reduces the weight but it does make attaching things to the sides is more of a problem than others with steel cases (I can't use magnets!). Poop is an issue. Every print needs to cut a little material and it's pooped out of the back at high speed. It's not only a mess but a waste of material. It would be nice if using the same reel as last time it doesn't do this, but no, it's every print. You will need a waste management solution so print a bin or chute to go at the back to collect this. I guess this is ready for the AMS which is supposedly due later this month (end of June 2025) but it's been delayed before. The AMS would improve this no end so come on Qidi, get it released: we are all waiting! If you looking for a 3D printer and have the space for a large machine, get this. It's superb. It would be 5 stars but without the AMS it is not yet as versatile as it could be. It prints well, prints fast, prints big and from just about any filament you can throw at it. In my opinion it beats the Bambu Labs (P1S and X1C) at its own game at a great price. I've had and have other 3D printers from the good old Ender 3 (2 ofvtgese in fact), a P1S and an A1. I consider the A1 a souped up Ender 3 as it's not enclosed so restrictive with materials, and I compare this Qidi Plus 4 to the P1S. Whilst the app and PC interface of the P1S have the edge for ease of use, the Qidi uses your own network rather than the manufacturer closed system so with everything going on in the name of security with Bambu Lavsvin recent months, I prefer the Qidi approach. I still print on my other machines, especially with the AMS for colour changing, but as a superb workhorse, this Qidi Plus 4 is my go to machine. I highly recommend it

I owe Bambu Labs a huge debt of gratitude..
As an experienced resin printer user for engineering parts, I had long eschewed FDM printing as lacking the precision and finish I wanted. However the time came, that the size of the parts I needed to print were borderline impossible on an SLA printer - and definitely in any vaguely sane timescale. So I entered the market looking for an FDM printer with a decent build plate size. The Creality K1 & K2 got knocked off the list pretty quickly, the community sees them as unreliable and flaky, and I needed something that just worked. I have zero interest in screwing around with someone else's poor design choices and sloppy quality control. So a Bambu Labs K1C it was then. Whilst casually checking Bambu Labs open source credentials, I happened across the shenanigans they decided to pull in early 2025 regarding locking people out of slicer features and requiring their cloud service. I despise with a vengeance companies that try to lock me into their BS "cloud" service that I don't want or need, so thanks to that discovery I carried on shopping, and came across the Qidi range. Coming across the Qidi Q1 with great reviews online, the build volume was just not quite what I wanted, do they do anything bigger? Oh they have the Q4! Bar some moans in the US about faults with their 110v power supplies in the early batches, the reviews were, well, too good to be true. But wherever I looked the this baby ticked almost all my boxes, so I took the plunge and got one. As an engineer, I really don't do impressed by tech very often, but wow, just WOW! Well packaged, it was up and running in about an hour. I'm used to calibrating resins on my SLA printers so was happy to spend the time tuning it in with eSun ePLA-ST. Holy cow this is good. I mean really really good. My first serious part was a 500mm long multi-part mould for a carbon fibre UAV wing that I had started to resin print, and gave up after a 14hr print. The Qidi Plus4 spat out the same print out in 4 hrs. It was almost flawless. The wins kept coming, I wondered could I print the entire wing in the eSun ePLA-LW foaming PLA, after calibrating, a few hours later and half the wing was sitting on the build plate. I am genuinely gobsmacked at how good this thing is. Aside from taking the time to calibrate different filaments, this is literally a "plug-and-play" printer that just works and delivers jaw dropping quality, and I say that as someone used to producing injection moulded quality parts on my SLA printer. Sure with a 0.4mm nozzle and a 0.2 layer height, the fidelity isn't even close to a 0.05 layer height SLA printer, but with some post processing it's really not far off. The speed this thing prints at - OMG! I have the acceleration set to 15000mm/s and it hits that! I could mention the flaws... the really really stupid power supply position, the cr@ppy build plate that everything sticks far too well to, the poor filter, the sluggish UI etc etc, but none of those issues make me sad I own this printer. In fact, when my workshop is finished I will probably buy at least 1, if not 2 more. So, I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Bambu Labs. Had they not pulled their cloud nonsense, I would have bought into the Bambu Labs ecosystem and bought an X1C - a more expensive printer with fewer features and a smaller build volume that would have locked me into their useless cloud service. Thank you Bambu, sometimes serendipity really does happen. === EDIT === If you read other posts online, Qidi has a very good reputation for support, and so when my hot end collided with the cleaning chute due to a blockage, I needed to contact Qidi support myself to try and either fix it or replace it. I emailed them on a Bank Holiday Monday, by the Friday of that week there was a new hot end fitted to my printer and being recalibrated. So their reputation for exceptional service is definitely well deserved too.

Qidi X-Plus 3
Excellent! This is my 3rd Qidi Tech machine and must say lives up to expectations. Impressive speed and I can already see the benefit of a Core XY machine. The Klipper interface is different to my Qidi X-CF Pro but easy to get along with and have used the new QidiSlicer and also OrcaSlicer, both give great results. Really like the speed and prints are easily a third to a quarter of the time of my other machines. Have stayed with Qidi as I know what I am getting and the service is phenomenal. Hope to get a lot of prints and continued great support. Really pleased with the X-Plus 3 and would not hesitate in recommending the machine. Again a happy customer Update: Well over 18 months and still going strong. A few hiccups with the filament detector but all sorted out. Also did a few upgrades like the camera and bi metallic hot end which have been really positive in improving print quality and for remote monitoring of prints. No AI detection with the camera which is a pity, but maybe something Qidi could work on in the future. Only two niggles one being the noisy 40mm fan at the back, however a drill and file soon sorted that out to make provision for a 60mm fan which is far quieter. Also modded the PTFE tube into the hot end feed as I found changing filament difficult in removing the tube from the head. The PTFE tube became shredded and needed to be replaced occasionally, ended up bonding a thin walled brass and later stainless steel tube to give better wear resistance. Worked a treat. Overall still impressed with my Plus 3 which is reliable and a solid printer. Not as fancy as other brands but for functional working parts - brilliant. Still happy 18 months on.
