Entertaining and full of AHA moments!
My new favorite book on Tarot, I am recommending this to new students and seasoned practitioners. Lon Milo Duquette has managed to excel in both the academic/intellectual AND the practical/hands on methods of teaching. Packed with information on card meanings, associations, correspondences and how the system relates with and enhances alchemical spiritual enlightenment and various other systems of divination and ceremonial Magick. In addition to growing your knowledge of Kabbalah, the I Ching, Enochian and Solomonic Magick to name a few. Every section has practical exercises and meditations for you to integrate this knowledge and raise your wisdom and understanding. All of this in plain English, sprinkled with humor, making the whole package refreshingly entertaining, accessible and joyful. By the end (using downloadable pdf), you will have made a cube of space and colorized and enhanced your own full Tarot Deck (amongst other hands on learning exercises. Take your time over this book, enjoy integrating the knowledge, and build your own temple of cards inside and out.

Of COURSE it's Perfection...
Leave it to Baba Lon to make cracking open the secrets of your deck feel this easy and enjoyable! This book is a testament to his charming ability to demystify the esoteric, guiding you to build a truly personal connection with your cards. It's a rare gem, and I'm genuinely thrilled this exists, predicting it'll be a well-worn cornerstone in countless libraries for years to come. This isn't just a book; it's a future classic, and trust me, you'll want the bragging rights of owning a first edition of this essential work.

Lon at his very best
The Chicken Qabalah has been my favorite Lon Milo Duquette book for years. After reading through this new book, and then returning to the beginning to perform all of the meditations and exercises in a timely manner, I must now say that this book, 'Tarot Architect', has surpassed Chicken and become my favorite LMD book. You can read many of the detailed reviews below to see just what this book has to offer but suffice it to say that it is Lon at his very informative and witty best and I only wish this were available many years ago when I first began my journey into this field. Great job, Lon!

The Illuminated Path
DuQuette states that for many, the Tarot serves as a compass that illuminates the path to "true will" and personal destiny. In her foreword, Mary Greer notes that the Tarot can be used to mirror one's experiences, as well as to manipulate one's experiences and the world around us. This is done with the use of magical correspondences initiated by the late 19th-century Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Greer notes that the system integrates numbers, astrology, color, sound, geometry, letters, and the Qabalistic Tree of Life.In his section on building the foundation for reading the Tarot using the above correspondences, he introduces the reader to the Four Qabalistic Worlds, the Four Parts of the Soul, The Four Elements, Tarot Suits and Court Cards, In this section he also includes an active meditation. The section on the Tree of Life and the Sepher Yetzirah, addresses the ten numbers and the Tree of Life. This is also where we see the planetary spheres introduced. The section on the Cube of Space addresses the Three Primitive Elemental Trumps, the Three Dimensions, the Three Mother Letters, the Seven Planetary Trumps, and the Seven Double Letters. The sections on creating your own deck start with the Mother Letter Trumps, moving on to the Double Letter Trumps, the Simple Letter Trumps, the Lessor (Minor) Arcana, the Aces and Princesses, the Knights, Queens, and Princes, and the Small Cards (numbers 2 through 10). There is a full page black and white image for each card, with explanations of the imagery and symbols, and suggestions as to how to make the card your own. This book is replete with explanations, diagrams. exercises, and rituals to bring this information solidly into the reader's life. This is a book to be worked with, again and again and again. It is not something that you read and put down. The information is easy to follow and understand. The goal is to illuminate your own path by activating and integrating the wisdom and energy within the cards. This book would be of interest to those wishing to learn about the esoteric foundation of the Tarot and those wishing to integrate the Tarot as a tool of self-knowledge into their lives.

Much More than a Coloring Book
As a season tarotist I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered the book but figured since I’m a big fan of the author already it’d be worth a shot. It’s a guide to not only become intimately acquainted with the spirits and ethos of every card in a standard deck, but also the tools to build your own. The meditations and exercises have been next level, so easy to follow and yet deeply profound in impact. If you are a wandering mystic or the snootiest occultist, this manual will deepen your knowledge of the very fabric of the Universe. Get a set of colored pencils, a journal, and get in on it.

Kabbalah based tarot explanations
Tarot card explanations based on simplified Kabbalah tie in explanations. Great if this is an aspect of tarot you want to learn more about. If you are not interested in Kabbalah you probably won’t enjoy this book. I couldn’t finish it.
