Suggesting it to friends
Just incredible Cvc set. It has so many picture cards. The option on the back to write the word after building it is such a hit with my students. The set also has multiple letters for each letter which is so helpful if needing to separate some of the cards into different activities. The vowels come in red and in blue depending to emphasize vowels when needed but to also test the child to make sure they’re not just guessing red in the middle each time. The letters a and t are just like in a real book for building but then like you write it on the back so that the child can copy it exactly and also learn to read the words in books. This was a big plus compared a different set I previously used. It is just excellent. The only thing I might add are a few Cvc pictures of my own so I can do a few more ladders, transitioning one letter at a time. But I can’t imagine a better set than this and at a great price. Suggesting it to other teachers!! Thank you so much!!

added great educational value to my room
This spelling set is great for my classroom; it has incredible learning value and has been a hit with learners of all skills in my room. It's durable, especially being used by younger kiddos, and has added great educational value to my room. The tiles are readable and the kids have a blast!

Excellent Motivational Learning Tool for Homeschool Parents / Classroom Stations
This kit is great for individual use in a homeschool setting or for use in stations in a classroom setting. Kids love using the markers to practice writing their words. They also enjoy the satisfaction of being able to spell a word with the wooden tiles, and flipping over their card to check if they have gotten in correctly. The vowel tiles are all in red, which is nice for being able to sort them out from the consonants. There are plenty of vowel tiles as well as all of the consonant tiles. For emergent readers the only thing that could pose as confusing in a a classroom setting is that the cards use the Zaner-Bloser font type for the letter 'a', and on the tiles the a is the typical 'a' font that you see in most books. Kids need to be exposed to both font types to recognize that they are the same letter, however if using this with multiple students who are not familiar with this it could be a bit confusing. Otherwise, excellent learning tool.

Good set for my 3 yo
I was looking for a CVC game to play with my 3 year old who’s been very interested in learning how to read. I like the phonetic approach to reading as this helps children learn to sound out words by matching letters to their corresponding sounds, then blending the sounds together. With this set, I can let my child pick out a picture that is shown on the backside of the cards, then we sound it out together, find the letter tiles that make those sounds, then flip the card over to check against the letter tiles my child selected. Each card has a large space for writing out the word (one time), and my child really likes the different colored dry erase markers that she can choose from. The cards can be easily erased using a paper towel (or the little erasers on the marker caps). The artwork on the cards is actually very nice and super cute which is what originally drew me to this product over others I’ve seen on Amazon. It’s not cheesy graphics, and has a great selection of 3 letter words that most toddlers can understand. The only cons I see are the following:1-The box doesn’t include any instructions or guidance on how to play, but you can kind of figure things out on your own.2- The cards are a bit thinner than I expected, but with a little care they should hold up. What I mean is the cards could crease if your child is intentionally rough with them.3- the consonant (blue) letter tiles also include an extra set of vowels (so there are blue colored a-e-i-o-u tiles, in addition to the red vowel tiles), which is confusing to my child. This game is new to me so I’m not sure if there’s a reason they also have vowels color coded as blue? For now I’ve been hiding those away and just using the red tiles for our vowels.4- The "u" tiles are identical to the "n" tiles, so that was a minor point of confusion for my toddler. Especially since the vowels also appear on blue tiles too. All the other invertable/reversible letters are underlined on the correct side to avoid confusion but not this one.5-some of the pictures on the cards might make you think of a different word that isn’t 3 letters. For example, one of the cards says “hut” but a child might think it’s “house”. You’ll need to help guide them with some of the pictures, but for older children this may not be a problem.Overall the quality is good and my toddler is having a blast learning too! Would recommend!

Great purchase!
Purchased this item to introduce my child to letters and words. It is a great addition to my little home classroom. This is a great game for them to use because it is practical, the setup of each card helps the child motivate to learn more and want to find the letters to each card. I love that it includes dry erase markers.

Fun for all the kids!
These CVC words are a fun little game for my kids who are learning to read. The vowels are different colors than the consonants, and the pictures are cute and fun for the kids. Great addition to our homeschooling, and great quality and design!

Love this toy!
My kindergartener loves to spell and play word games. This CVC set has been great for the money and we’ve used it a lot since ordering. It’s excellent all around, but the reason for deducting a star is because vowels are on both colors. It would be a full five if they were all red instead.
